“Good Place. Highly recommended”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed in the resort for one night while visiting Bhimashankar temple. This is the best place to stay in Bhimashankar. It is an awesome property spread over a huge area overlooking the valley. However, the place lacks maintenance and many of the cottages seem to be closed/ under repair. While the rooms are basic and clean, it is advisable to carry your own bed sheets, pillow covers, top sheet and towels. We carried our own, and were happy that we did!

The food was freshly cooked to order and tasted very good. Since we are vegetarians, I cannot comment on the non-veg food though. There is a fancy new restaurant under construction that should be up and running in around 6 months or so.

The place is very peaceful and the best part is that it has no TV! In fact there is absolutely nothing to do there. But the joy of sitting in the verandah and enjoying the lovely breeze is simply unmatched! So just leave all your tensions behind in the city, sit, relax and enjoy the Bhimashankar experience!

Room Tip: Take bunglow no. B 10. It is a two bed bunglow overlooking the valley. It has a nice verandah and a...

“Best place to lose yourself.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We were on a road trip and our plans led us to visit the holy shrine of Bhimashankar. After having read the reviews on my favorite auto forum - team-bhp; i decided to stay there. Getting through their lines, was a task in itself. Next, Mr.Walse Patil informed me that his hotel was completely booked but very kindly called me back in the evening to inform me that there has been a cancellation and my family was welcome to spend a night with them.

This is THE place to stay if you are in Bhimashankar. Beautiful environs and very very peaceful. Nice property but basic facilities and simple functional furniture. Food was also quite basic and lacked variety. Sunrise is simply awesome and mind-blowing. There are some swings and rope climbing stuff for some good fun. Wish we had stayed longer.

You need a vehicle to get there.. It is 2 kms off the road.. decent pathways though.

Room Tip: Take a cottage further away from the main unit who doors open into the hills. The sunrise is stupe...

“Visit to Bhimashankar”

If you are visiting Bhimashankar and want a night stay, the only place worth staying is this resort.Though the rooms need little upgradation, but attitude and co-operation of hotel staff particularly Mr Rahul makes good the short-comings.We are veg and the food we got was fresh, tasty & fast.

Room Tip: The room on 1st floor gives good view.

“A Nature's retreat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

I have been a regular visitor to Bhimashankar every year since a decade, with a group of my friends. This place has basic infrastructure, maintained in itself, and we have seen it better each time we went there. The rooms, linen, toilets are clean, of course they can be better. Awesome location. Good and edible food. There is no mobile network, except for BSNL. But there is a pay phone at the reception office to connect.

The best time is monsoons - June - August

The plus about this place is the scenic beauty, especially in the monsoons. Its like a green carpet with the rains, and feels like a walk in the clouds. This place is close to the famous Bhimashankar Temple. There are hardly any other places to stay around the temple. So this one is mostly full. So better to book your rooms in advance.

This is a treat to nature lovers, One can just take a walk in the greens,or forest area around and would do some birding. You can request the hotel office to arrange for a guide - who was an old man led by his dog, to take you deep into the forest.
The resort is huge enough- if you are in a large group, you can play cricket, badminton, or any other game as well - of course, bring your own gear.

There is a small lake in the vicinity of the resort. The winds will talk to you. Expect a lot of gustling or howling winds. This place has a lot of silence and serenity. The resort could use some lights in the nights in the open areas. Make sure to carry torches.

All in all - Value for money, a treat to the eyes, body, mind and soul.

“Beautiful and Peaceful Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

The location of the hotel is near the Bhimashankar Forest and some 12 km before the Bhimashankar temple. Best season to go is End of Monsoon i.e. September - October. Also the place is not very crowded. Best choice if you wanna get rid of the hectic ans stressful life for some days.
We were 21 and had booked for 2 cottages and a bungalow but the Manager offered us 9 bedroom bungalow which was the newest. The rooms had attached wash rooms and were very neat and clean. The rooms were with Balcony from where one can have a scenic view of the awesome lake, hills, valleys and green forests.
Food Quality was very good. The food had some typical traditional taste of the land where it is located and was a bit spicy too and also a lot of variety incase of Buffet. Not much variety if you wanna order through Menu Card. Dining Hall is a bit older.
The place being remote, ensure that you have all those that you need with you. You'll only get BSNL mobile network. All other network are down.
The major drawback this resort has is that it does not have any facilities like indoor games, swimming pools hence one cannot survive there more than a day or two.
Overall its a good place to be if you wann go with friends, as couple and family but only for a day or two.

Room Tip: 9 bedroom bungalow at the extreme end of the entrance are the latest and too good.
