We joined Panorama holidays and were gifted a free stay at this hotel. Impressed by the pictures in the booklet we set out dreaming of go carting, swimming and a relaxing sauna near Palm trees.
However the reality was extremeley disappointing. There were 2 types of rooms. One was a small cottage like room and the other looked like a pre-fab box. We rejected the pre-fabs on the first glance because we did not want to stay in a box. The cottage room was not too bad. But it was too small for me,my wife and 2 10 year old kids. So we rejected that one too and were just about to leave when my wife thought of calling up the Panorama holiday guys and giving them an earful on what she thought about their holiday spot. The panorama guyg called back and got us 2 adjoining cottage rooms and that was not so bad.
As far as amenities go, the swimming ppol was dry, there were no go-karts in the go-karting ground and the recreation room turned out to be a TT table and a few ancient console games of which only one was actually working. You have to pay to use each of these "amenities".. They also had a net with a cricket ball gun. That was a few minutes of fun. But we had to pay 80 Rs per over.
The ambience was also quite disappointing. I expected that there would be greenery, hills and nice scenery. But the hotel was bang in the middle of some apartment complexes and there were hardly any trees in the complex.. It was kind of like going to Sion or Dadar for a holiday. The surroundings were further loused up by a huge construction site in the complex where they are building an extension to the current complex. To ruin the ambience further, they had let out a terrace in the complex out for a wedding reception when we were there.
The only good thing about this hotel is the food. Which is really very good.
So,my advice is to eat here, but not stay here.
Avoid the boxes and take one of the cottage rooms
