If you want to vist the western group of temples, a world heritage site, this property is one of the nearest and best-located hotels. The venue for the Khajuraho festival of dances in early February is just outside the group of temples, so late in the evening when the dances are over and the music stops, one can actually walk back to the room when staying at the Jhankar. The rooms are largish and quite inviting. The complimentary breakfast is not bad as well, what with both puri sabji and omelette-bread slice--along with tea --available for the asking. The staff is friendly and has much to say about local sightseeing and trip planning. The large lawns of the hotel give it a luxurious feel.
