We had a brilliant stay. Rajesh is a great host, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had a great time. He ferried us round, recommended local restaurants and ensured our onwards travel was all organised.

The accommodation is very clean, and the breakfasts are lovely (ask for indian breakfasts). The staff all take great pride in the service they provide.

Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

We chose this small hotel on the basis of your rating. We were not disappointed. In many years of travelling in India and elsewhere we have never had such outstanding personal service from Rajesh and his staff. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean; the breakfasts were excellent; the location was quiet but convenient and Rajesh provided free transport to any location in the Varkala area.

Just back from India. Stayed in the Karthika Plaza as our first stop. Loved it. Varkala is far better than Kovalam. Quiter, better beaches and less like Benidorm as I found Kovalam to be.

Karthika Plaza really relaxing. Rajeesh, the manager and his team fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble. From sorting out my e mail problems and helping to book Indian trains to sending one off the guys to buy us suitcase locks as ours had broken, nothing was too much trouble!

The accommodation is a small 8 room complex from memory, lovely garedns and about 3 min by car from the palm fringed beaches (avoid the main beach. the smaller one is far better). We found this better than staying on the beach. Quieter and away from the tourist zone.Rajeesh drops you off and picks you up in the car. As often and when ever you want. Just call and he is there like a flash.

The accom

Te hotel is located away from the main beach. This is not a disadvantage because Rajesh and his staff are so helpful. They drove us to deserted beaches where we could walk back to Varkela, and offered to pick us up from restaurants at night. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Rajesh even went to the railway station at 5am to get our onward tickets.

The rooms were OK, but nothing special. The resort is in beautiful gardens with upper floor rooms overlooking the gearden whilst those on the ground floor can access it.

The satellite internet connection was useful.

Overall a so-so accommodation made special by Rajesh.
