Amruthamgamaya has potential but we just didn't see it living up to it. From the guest book we read, it sounded like some people really enjoyed there time. For us, however, it just didn't live up to what we were hoping, given the ranking on Tripadvisor. The main reason we chose the spot for for yoga. However, during our 4 day trip there was only yoga two times. One of those times we waited 30 minutes for it to start. The start of meal time changed within a 1 1/2 hour window each day without us being told when to plan for it. Things like this made planning activities a challenge. This was an example of how poor the communication was between management and guests. Another example was that we had been there for a full day when we received an email from one of the owners asking us why we never showed up and saying they lost business because of us. Meanwhile, we had already spent the night there. Toilets can't accept toilet paper. If you do get the ayurveda treatments, I'd recommend bringing a mosquito coil or candle, as they were biting me through my treatment (despite wearing repellent) which made it anything but relaxing.
