My husband and I stayed here over New Year and we had a lovely time. It really is in the middle of nowhere! Our room on the first floor was huge with a really high bed that you needed a step to get into - we loved it! There was a storm on our first night and the electricity cut out so our evening was cut short at 9pm but it did come back later on that night and we were given candles for our room. The storm winds were so cooling that we didn't need the fan on that night any way. Next morning we were given breakfast on the balcony of our rooms as the outdoor dining area was still a little wet. However, by the evening everything was dry and we could eat out on the patio.
The house has bikes you can use to explore the neighbouring villages - and I would really recommend this. You get an idea of how beautiful the countryside is and the hotel's seclusion. The food was delicious - especially the seafood platter and a scrumptious vegetarian lunch. I had incredibly bad morning sickness during my whole time I was in India but the atmosphere was so relaxing here that it almost cured it!
