“Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I stayed here for a couple of nights at the beginning of January, before starting a trip around Keral. The property is Heritage and they have managed to sucessfully marry the modern with the traditional I think. It overlooks the harbour and you can sit having breakfast in the airy second floor dining area/balcony watching the local fishermen and the abundance of Red Kites competing for fish. I mislaid my wallet on the day I was leaving and the staff all piled in to help me find it. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, especially Sreekumar Perozhi, the manager. I believe, that they are expanding to include more rooms and a waterside seafood restaurant- good luck on that. I would definitely stay here again. Beautiful setting, great staff and service.

“Lovely cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We didn't stay here but we had two very lovely and leisurely lunches on the covered patio overlooking the water. VERY pleasant. Great service and excellent food but the ambiance was really wonderful.

“An oasis hidden amongst the historical sights of Cochin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Calm, serene, clean, warm and friendly; that's the Capital Anchor Hotel! Dawn breakfasts overlooking the harbour with the sunrise casting over dug-out boats, fishing boats, tugs and container ships sharing the water is not to be missed. Similarly the sunsets and all from the airy balcony of the dining area! The staff are very courteous and Sree; the manager, could not be more caring and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Sree's suggested local fish curry - superb! The beauty of the hotel besides its facilities (including the wonderful pool) is it's locality. Within easy walking distance of the main historical sites of Cochin, the ferry to Ervankulam or a tuk to Jew town for that retail therapy moment (or 2) what more could you ask for! I loved it and WILL surely be returning!

Room Tip: Go for the upstairs rooms and lounge on the marble balcony just outside the rooms gazing across the...

“Fantastic Place at Fort Kochi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This is a Heritage building and there is some natural elements in this building, so there is not much to complaint about. I really love the excellent view of the Fort Kochi.....ships and boats ferrying now and then while you dine at their open deck restaurant. Even though their menus are limited we did have a decent dinner, thumbs up to the chef. The room are big and has decent space to walk about. Bathroom looks pretty new and spacious. There is a reasonable size swimming pool to just relax and soak yourself. After the swimming pool towards the back, there is an open space to walk along the water front, its so lovely, but not too safe for kids, additional safety bars towards the lower side of the railing will be of good help. Generally its a fantastic place to stay, as its a walking distance to Vasco-da-Gama square and beaches of Kochi. Take this lovely walk and keep snaping pictures of everything you see...You can come from all over the world, but this is Fort Kochi as it is. I would like to thank the staffs for their warm welcome and hospitality during out stay and most of all our Great thanks to Sreekumar Perozhi (manager operations), for making us feel very important and confortable throughout our stay. Cheers.

“A pleasant place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

I thought it had a great location. Rooms were nothing special and the bathroom had nowhere to put dry clothes on the wet-all-over floor. The staff were lovely, very friendly, and the chef cooked us a wonderful meal at very short notice. The free internet was a bonus. I would stay there again.
