“A real sanctuary: fantastic stay”

We arrived in Kerala on NYE after chilling out in the waterways and to start with I thought we were going to find it all too manic. Then we pulled into the Old Harbour Hotel and instantly felt calm and comfortable.
Where to start? The food is incredibly - really delicious. They have a great selection of wines which is hard to find in Sth India. The pool area is lovely and rooms really luxurious. The hotel has such a great feel to it - it has a unique personality with all the mod cons and even yoga lessons on the rooftop for residents.
The biggest thumbs up however, has to go to the great staff at the hotel who can't do enough for you. Vineetha on reception in particular was exceptional. Always smiling she even popped back on her afternoon off to help me put a sari on properly for the NYE party. Love this hotel - can't wait to go again and can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a special stay in Kerala.

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with the rooms - they're all gorgeous. We stayed in a bungalo...

We spent 3 days in Fort Cochin staying at both the Dreamz for one night and at the Garden cottage. The Owner & Staff were very helpfull. The place is beautiful with great location.

“Boutique Hotel at a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

Fort Cochin has a number of colonial bungalows which are being converted into boutique hotels. The Old Harbour Hotel is one of these. Built around a central courtyard which now contains a superb swimming pool the hotel is relaxed and efficient and serves good food. Walking out you are right by the Chinese fishing nets and very close to everything in Fort Cochin.

“Tip-top for location, service, everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Can only concur with all the other postive reviews - this hotel is perfect for visiting Fort Cochin. Relaxed and friendly service, great food (especially the South Indian coffee), it is located so close to all the sights one can just walk outside and enjoy them.

“Comfort in the heart of Cochin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights in February as an historical interlude between the backwaters and the beach. We arranged the stay direct with the hotel and the booking was handled quickly and efficiently. The booked a garden view room and were allocated the Tower bedroom which was spacious and probably the best in the hotel as it overlooks the garden from the 1st floor and has a small balcony. The room was very clean, the staff were extremely helpful; the food was good and the pool was a welcome relaxation from the business of touring the town in the heat. This is a carefully restored small boutique hotel that in my view represents good value in the centre of the fort just yards from the chinese fishing nets. Thoroughly recommended!

Room Tip: The Tower bedroom
