Ann's Residency is a 10 minute walk from the tourist center, but close the beach- quiet, charming, great little garden with
not one but two options for breakfast and light meals. Ann and Leslie are wonderful hosts, and excellent inn keepers.
We stayed there twice at the end of december 2011. The garden with birds and fish, and shade is welcoming. We met interesting people there, and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. if there is one shortcoming, it is that cloths are a bit faded.
the rooms could use a little sprucing up, and the curtains, mosquito nets, and towels could use a coat of bleach or replacement. the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were clean, just not sparkly. We would return there anytime we are in the neighborhood.

Ann's residency was our second stay in Cochin. We liked the hotel, as it is positioned in the old Ford area. It is very convinent, as we had free WiFi, good size rooms and we enjoyed the small café in the garden. The breakfast was great- fresh fruit, juices, eggs and toast. A great little gardnener took care of the garden, which is full of birds and an aquarium. Everything is really clean!

Anns is a little gem just on the outside the central part of Fort Cochin. Very pretty gardens which are kept beautifully.

The main tourist sites such as the Chinese Fishing Nets are only about 5 mins walk away. Jew Town can be walked in about 25 minutes but after a hot walk there, I decided to do the sensible thing and get an auto rickshaw back into town.

Rooms are comfortable and I certainly slept well while I was there, even though I was still getting into Indian time, having only just flown in. Transport to / from the airport is via their superb Ambassador car, driven expertly by George.

Leslie is a superb host and his fresh fruit platter and breakfast is superb. There is also a cafe / snack bar on site that is handy.

Wi fi is available at Anns or at the cafe and it all worked perfectly.

Ann's residency is a good introduction to Kochin. It is a peceful haven set about 400m away from the busy tourist section of Fort Kochin. Lesley and his staff make you very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast are great and the omlette cooked to perfection. Rooms are fine, small but clean. Lesley is a font of information and will arrange any trips or taxis you need. The restaurant round the corner Oceanas is great for Keralan curries.
