Anns is a little gem just on the outside the central part of Fort Cochin. Very pretty gardens which are kept beautifully.

The main tourist sites such as the Chinese Fishing Nets are only about 5 mins walk away. Jew Town can be walked in about 25 minutes but after a hot walk there, I decided to do the sensible thing and get an auto rickshaw back into town.

Rooms are comfortable and I certainly slept well while I was there, even though I was still getting into Indian time, having only just flown in. Transport to / from the airport is via their superb Ambassador car, driven expertly by George.

Leslie is a superb host and his fresh fruit platter and breakfast is superb. There is also a cafe / snack bar on site that is handy.

Wi fi is available at Anns or at the cafe and it all worked perfectly.

Ann's residency is a good introduction to Kochin. It is a peceful haven set about 400m away from the busy tourist section of Fort Kochin. Lesley and his staff make you very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast are great and the omlette cooked to perfection. Rooms are fine, small but clean. Lesley is a font of information and will arrange any trips or taxis you need. The restaurant round the corner Oceanas is great for Keralan curries.

I first stayed at Ann's Residency about 12 years ago. Back then the homestay was special. Today is no different except that the garden has matured as has Lesley (owner/manager). Lesley's wife remains as beautiful as ever. Ann's Residency has much going for it. The rooms are clean with all the amenities that one would expect of a modern homestay. The service is considered and detached. All the ingredients for making one's stay enjoyable and as private or socially demanding according to taste. Breakfast has always been special. This is now by fourth visit to Ann's Residency. Hopefully there will be many more. Highly recommended and with no reservations.

We stayed in a marvellous charming room in this beautiful and quiet house. Perfectly clean all we needed was included, even internet. The great breakfast served in the porch, the best way to start the day. The hotel is run by the nicest family, very friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to come back.
Close to the hotel we would also recomend you visit Oceanos, a nice restaurant to enjoy different food always with the taste of India.
