This is an extremely beautiful house, run by a lovely couple Jenny & Jose assisted by very helpful staff. The room was large and very comfortable with a balcony. The food was excellent and generous, each meal being a different Kerala speciality with delicate spices and flavours.
Even though this home stay is quite a long way out of town it is only a 50-60 rupee auto to the boat jetty for Fort Cochin
Very high on our list of recommendations !

me and my wife stayed at Le Royal and had a wonderfull time at Jenny and Jose.
they gave us us the the best hospitality with excellent home made food specially cooked for us. (jenny is cooking herself for the guests) the staff are very polite and helpfull.
we had the best time sitting and talking with Jenny and we know that we will come back to her "Le Royale"
Jenny also organized our tour in S.India and she did it the best way. we recomend it to all

We used Jenny and Fourens Travel to supply us with car and driver for a 4 weeks tour of Kerala and neighbouring states. The driver (Dileep) was informative and excellent in dealing with wild Indian traffic without fuss. Jenny also sorted out a number of issues for us and also provided hospitality at Le Royale. We had already booked alternative accomodation in Fort Cochin but from looking round Le Royale and having a meal there would have no problem in recommending the accomodation to anyone looking for a bse in Kochi

This was our first visit to India; we chose to stay at the Le Royale Homestay in Ernakulum having visited Fort Cochin and Kovalam. We selected Le Royale using Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. We were collected from the rail station as agreed and taken to Le Royale, Jenny Jose and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Their home was lovely we had a large bedroom and large bathroom. The house was lovely and clean the bathroom has a shower. We had booked, bed breakfast and evening meal, in part, to sample real home Indian cooking and part due to the location of the house which is in a quiet part of town but a bit out of the way, for walking out at night.
The food was fantastic, we were made to feel welcome and everyone was willing to help with information, we would have loved to stay longer but had to catch a flight. We had booked a flight transfer with Jenny even though it meant leaving at 05.45 hrs. Thank you for a lovely stay.
