I had a wonderful time at the Koder House, The place has got its own tradition and class. The Location is too beautiful and so close to the beach and garden that you could hear the waves every now and then.. The rooms are huge and top class, the wooden interiors has its own charm. The toilet is neat and tidy. Room Service is exceptional.

We stayed here for a couple of nights just before Christmas. It's a heritage building (no lift, so avoid the top floor if stairs are a problem) and our rooms were suites with lots of space and character, comprising a large bedroom, a bathroom with bath and separate shower, and a sort of dressing room with minibar, wardrobes and lots of luggage space. The rooms are on different levels ie steps up to the bathroom, at least on the top floor, as we didn't see them all. Great restaurant with alcohol available (not so easy to find in Kochin), overlooking the small park area and very close to the beach, market and shops. The beach would benefit from a clean-up but the Chinese fishing nets around the corner are worth seeing in action (08.00 is a good time).

Had a wonderful stay of two weeks @ Koder House. Being a keralite me and my small family thoroughly enjoid their Menorah restaurant. It was really great to have their special kerala fish curry. It was as good as my mother's traditional fish curry of Kerala. i would liek to thank the Chef for that special treat. I am looking forward to coming back to Koder house again in mid 2012.

We stayed at the sister hotel, Victory Dawn which was fantastic. However, the mandatory gala dinner at Koder House on Christmas Eve was a big disappointment. They over promised and under delivered. The service was appalling, although there frequently seemed to be plenty of staff and managers hanging around. It also wasn't clear what menu we were ordering from. The food, when it did eventually arrive, was perfectly nice.

This could be a stunning restaurant but suffers from lack of management.
