I stayed here for one day. The hotel was much better than what I expected. The service is really quick. The location of the hotel is a real plus. It is close to broadway market and some small malls. It is also close to the Jetty station from where you can catch a Ferry to reach fort kochi. The food is great though a little expensive. The buffet breakfast was damn good with so many verities. They provide complementary Cruise in the evening which was a good experience though I expected a better Cruise. The room was also very small. But overall a great experience.

Hotel Gateway by Taj, Location is average as located next to the mall and the so called Marine Walk which looks like popular only to the locals. The Staff is JUST AMAZING, guy in reception - Deepak and the GRO's are really helpful and smiling all the times no matter they were seen doing a 14 Hour shift when asked they don't let you know how long they have been on the shift. Hotel provided a Sun Set Cruise free of cost...could have been better if the boat they had chosen would have given a bit of see side Kerala Touch, but was good and the guy in control allowed us to get into the front side for a better look. the food is good and you should have the breakfast at the cafe. Rooms are clean and big. Overall the property is well kept.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Gateway Hotel and it was bliss. Breakfast was included and they made chocolate banana pancakes especially for my friend. A couple of times we had the buffet lunch - superb!

There was a problem with the room in which my friend was staying and so they moved her to another (larger room) immediately. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard and fresh fruit was also left in our room. Nothing was too much trouble. The view was great and so was the swimming pool. I would highly recommend this hotel which is conveniently located to Fort Cochin and Ernakulum where there is a lot of less touristy shopping available. A 2 ruphiah ferry ride gets you to Fort Cochin. The only drawback is that if you have dinner in Fort Cochin and you miss the return ferry at around 9:00pm you will have to pay a lot to get back to Ernakulum.

I highly reccomend this property! VEry comfortable sea view rooms, excellent service, stunning views and supb location,,,The staff is wonderful, professional and so helpful, and i must say they truly go out of their way to keep the guests happy and tend to any request...I was highly impressed and had a wonderful and relaxing stay,,,
