We drove from Chennai to Belur, Halebedu during the second week of Jan 2012. We started on Jan 13th, had a overnight stay at Belur, saw the temples and then headed to Hidden Valley.
We reached the place on Jan 14th at 4 PM. The coffee estate in which the home stay is located is a serene place. The room that we got was to our choice - a small but cozy room. The estate manager Mr. Suraj and the caretaker Mr. Pappu ensured that our stay was memorable. Pappu is a fantabulous cook himself. We had more than our fair share to eat starting 5 PM on Jan 14th till 9 AM on Jan 16th when we checked.
The walk around the 30 acre coffee estate lined with coffee plants, pepper creepers and orange trees is relaxing and makes one forget the city life we are used to. The night sky is something that we city dwellers miss and that is something one can look forward to at the estate.
On the 15th we had few other guests joining us and Mr.Suraj organized Barbeques and campfire and we had a good time.
We will definitely visit Hidden Valley soon. Highly recommend this place for a serene home stay.
