The Cottage is located on a safe,quiet street, with a very nice yard, and several charming patios and terraces for sitting outside, beside the rooms. And the rooms are ample and tidy, with simple but nice touches. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. You feel like you are in your own small world inside the compound, but it is close to shopping, restaurants, and central Bangalore. The owners are extremely helpful, giving advice on how to get around the city, where to eat, and what to see. You get the feeling that they feel really interested in making certain that you are well taken care of and that you have an opportunity to appreciate the city. They also have a great laundry service. If you expect to pay with a credit card, be forwarned. They really prefer cash, and the manager made us feel like paying by credit card was a problem, although ultimately he did allow us to do so.

I spent 3 nights at Casa Piccola with my wife last August. The hotel really represents a kind of oasis in the mad crowd of the big city, we had a nice stay. Breakfast and dinner were ok, even if you have to wait some time for your dinner since it comes from the nearby restaurant.
Our room was really spacious, very clean and relaxing, it's a pity our bathroom was too small if compared to the rest of the room.
The staff was kind to us. However, when we agreed on the tariff on the phone we were given a price (3500 rupees/night) but when we paid for our stay they charged us 1000 rupees more per night. We realised it too late as we had already left. So, we suggest that you should clearly agree on the price since the tariff they give you may be not the one you find online.

Great owners (and their son!) who share plenty of information. Close to everything (with-in walking distance to centre of city). Very friendly staff. Bed sheets and pillowcases too small. No hot water. Breakfast very basic.

Not a hotel but a residency compound located on a quiet street but close to good shopping, the new metro, and Government Park. Rooms are located on ground and first floors. Our room had a pleasant balcony. Facility is old but very well maintained. Our room had attached bath, coffee and tea, satellite TV, good lighting, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful and friendly.
