We stayed in TGII and had, for the 4 of us, the place to ourselves. It's comfortable and has all the facilities you need with the great convenience of being right in the heart of Bangalore without the noise. The small garden, exclusively ours, was a godsend. We didn't have the extra advantage of additional facilities in the Brunton Cross Road part - only because of the physical separation - but that wasn't important

We cannot have been the easiest of people to have staying if only because our hours went from 6.30am to well past midnight including our daughters' late night activities. The onsite staff were marvellous and provided tea, coffee or a snack at the drop of a hat. The apartment building has good security and its own staff who were always, as the onsite, friendly, helpful and came along to dress my wife and daughters in their saris.

The cost/benefit over a good hotel is immense. Sure, you won't have the swank of an Oberoi or The Park but everything you need is there and it's far less impersonal and, importantly, less than half the price - conservatively. If you have a car on call, there's easy parking.

When we return to Bangalore, we know I will be going back to TGII.

I stayed at the Terrace Gardens Annex with my 6 year old son and my parents for 5 days. The atmosphere was excellent. It really makes you feel at home, The staff is extremely friendly. The food was delicious. There were different menus for breakfast although the Thalis (lunch and dinner) were more or less a standard menu... but very tasty. Although I arranged for an airport pick up for my parents as they travelled one day ahead, the pick up did not turn up. Later we were informed that the vehicle had met with an accident. Its much cheaper to use the Airport taxis (Half the price- Rs 600/=). The upstair rooms were excellent. The downstair room (113) where I stayed with my son was nice and comfortable but the toilet definitely needed a good clean up. The discoloured floor and wall tiles did not make it look clean.

It seems this guest house caters more to business travellers than the tourists as the front desk did not have much information about tours available within, around or outside Bangalore and how to book them, etc., any more than what was available in the booklets available in the rooms. But they certainly helped with contact numbers.

Overall I'm quite satisfied with the place and would recommend it to anyone.

I have been Staying only at Terrace Gardens, Bangalore every year, for approx 4 days during September or December for a few days for shopping. I am a very satisfied customer from Nairobi, Kenya. Overall experience of this guest house, is most recommendable to anyone, looking for a comfortable, convienient, clean and peaceful getaway. The breakfast is tasty and served at a pleasant rooftop Terrace every morning.
It is undoubtedly one of the most homely, peaceful, comfortable, convienient, very friendly staffed, value for money botique hotels I have come across, after a long time in India. I used to stay at 5 star hotels paying such absurd prices before, and yet feeling like, only just a room no !!!
Kausalya and her family that runs this Guest House are super friendly people and are ever willing to help. I was indeed very touched by their warm hospitality and kindness during all my stays in their guest house. I shall only stay with them if ever i m in Bangalore. Its indeed a place i would always recommend to any of my close family and friends, as i m more than sure that they would be most comfortable and looked after!!

Located close to MG road in a quiet neighbourhood, rooms were excellent for value with modern furniture (although some of it was already having a few problems) and nicely set in some gardens.
Breakfast was good, staff friendly.
Perfect for a short stay.
