I lost $50 singaporian and 1000 thai baht from my backpack that I left in the room on the 2nd of Feb, 2012. I should not have left any cash in my room, but I had too much foreign currency on me and left some behind thinking no one would touch the back pack as it was behind a suitcase. My problem is not that I lost a small amount of money....my problem is that people cannot be trusted. Our trust was broken....what else could have been lost if I left things in my bag? The saddest part is that staff and management did nothing about it. The shift supervisor took notes when I told him, the cleaning supervisor took more notes the next morning. The GM met me the next morning and also took notes, all promised to get back to me regarding this and I got no response. How do we rate a place where customers/guests are not treated with respect and promises are not fulfilled. They seem to all try and save the back of their staff but no solution for the customer. If it has happened to me, it will happen to someone else eventually.
I would not recommend people use this hotel, also, I will advise my tour organiser and others I know in Melbourne to use other hotels that are good reputated.
