“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

The best thing about the hotel is the location. Due to its location connectivity is never a problem even after midnight (but you will have to pay a lot as most of Bangalore's auto-rickshaw drivers don't use tariff meters and radio cabs are never available when you have to travel a short distance). Even though its located on a busy street the hotel is surprisingly quite. The rooms are good (though the lighting in the room could use correct placement). One thing I did not like is that there is only one power outlet (electric socket) in the entire room which causes a problem when you have to charge multiple devices. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The complimentary breakfast is great due to the wide variety of choices available and the food is quite tasty. I would recommend a stay in this hotel due to is location and great service.

“Nice stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

I enjoyed my stay at Monarch very much and will be staying again whenI will be visiting Banaglore. Check in and check out is really fast. The buffet breakfast has good varaities especially south indian dishes.Only problem I had was there was no WI FI during my stay. Mr. Mudasir was very helpful.

Room Tip: Executive rooms are better as they face Brigade road.

“Comfortable Stay”

The Monarch is located on the Brigade road which is the most happening area of Bangalore with number of shopping centers, Pubs and restaurants. While driving down the Brigade Road you may not spot the hotel as it is not visible because of shops surrounding it.However with little effort and by asking around you can reach the hotel. The staff at the reception and in other departments were very courteous, helpful and welcoming. No complaints about them. The room is nice, fair in size, very clean and with pleasing ambiance. The lighting and the air conditioning in the room are just perfect. The toilet is clean with a tub and other modern plumbing fittings. The negative part about the room is the very old CRT TV with equally old remote on which nothing can be read and has to be operated by guess. The reception is also of poor quality. TV needs to be changed and reception to be improved. Other minus point is the carpet in the room, which was stinking till I got it removed. With very good and elegant flooring, there is no need for a carpet. Food was of high quality and the breakfast including the verity was very good. No complaints here too. service was also good. The hotel does not have a bar/ lounge, however at brigade road and just outside the hotel there are many good lounges, bars and restaurants. The hotel does not have a business center. The major plus point of the Hotel- A fantastic Location and wonderful staff. Had a comfortable stay at a reasonable tariff.

“Bangalore Delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

The hotel is in the heart of Bangalore city in the posh brigade road , My work brings me regularly to bangalore and I prefer this hotel to stay. Priced at Rs 2500 per night for 3-star kind of facility with central air-conditioning, room service and an able housekeeping, this hotel is a very very good deal. The breakfast buffet is good, being a north Indian you might feel the choice limited, but still it's ok kind of a thing .Overall the quality of food is good.Rooms are of good size and clean.
