I was trying to remember its earlier name - and when I stood there in front of the reception (some change now) - it struck me : Harsha!, which means - happiness!

Well I was quite happy with the check in - quick, easy. The room was fine - though I could see the renovation or change had left some older marks ! The bed was quite comfortable and inviting!

The table and the chair could be placed a bit differently as it leaves almost no room between the chair and the bed if you decide to sit and work. But overall the room is nice, well equipped. The AC is noisier than one may like however, you get used to it slowly.

The washroom is clean and the shower is well seperated by a glass partition. Supplies are adequate and one can ask for more (without charge). So that makes life easier for a frequent traveller.

The restaurant "Tiget Trail" was perhaps more famous earlier - seems to have lost its buzz but thankfully kept its good taste. The food tasted good. The breakfast though was the same everyday. But the spread was good enough to start a good day. Free Kababs on 3 pints of beer was tempting.

The gym on 5th floor is very tiny - the equipments are modern and its feels good to work out on these machines. The best part is the trainer - he takes geniune interest in your work out and helps you with various exercises. He was very encouraging and helpful.

The reception staff also allowed me to check in abit early and leave a bit late, Nice of them.

The overall expereince was very good. I would like to go back and stay here. I am sure I can also now ask for a better view- room.

After long years, I had visited Bangalore. Based on a friend's advice, I chose this hotel , as I wanted to be in city center. The location ie Shivaji nagar is excellent and well connected, with Vidhana soudha, MG road and Chinnaswamy stadium not far off.
The rooms are small, but reminded of my experience with European hotels in UK, Paris, Swiss etc. The small rooms are made to look big by intelligently using lots and lots of mirrors all over the room. LCD TV , Central AC, Mini Bar, Tea arrangement are good. Beds are cosy and pure white colors used are pleasing to eye. Service is good.
Don't be shy, but ask for the toiletries like bath slippers, dental kit etc
Complimentary breakfast is well laid and lots of varities starting from Indian Dosa,Uttappam, Vada etc;; Crossants, Danish pastry, variety of breads, jams, honey and flavored curd in nice little earthen cups are welcome change. Also on offer are fresh juices, milk, coffee/tea and Muesli, cornflakes et al. Very heavy one. I loved it
But the food in Tiger Trail Restaurant is NOT value for money. Better try outside, in nearby location. Food taste is not that great.
The business center has two internet PCs. Internet is about Rs 100/- per hour and xerox/ prints is about Rs 15 or so.
Be watchful on the billing time about items consumed in Mini bar. The boys can boost up your bill.
On the whole, it is a pleasant stay there. Recommended, but with caution.

I stayed there October 1 2011 - October 8 2011. Decided to change hotels when I began to have bed bugs show up on my legs and arms. The hotel swears there were no bugs in my room, and maybe they were right - but I definitely had bed bug bites...

The staff was kind - but the hotel did not feel very clean and the noise was very bad - even though they gave me a room near the back of the hotel. Especially around 5 in the morn ing when the temple across the street started the day break chanting...

I am sorry but I cannot recommend this hotel for Americans.

Good Hotel near to commercial street and MG road but when you come early you need to wait to get the rooms.
