I stayed here for business. The hotel was chosen for me and is very close to our office.
The hotel has a lobby and despite what I read in reviews here, I found the staff to be very cheery and nice. I was in and out a lot and ended up getting quite friendly w/ the guys at the front door - really good guys. The entire staff was very friendly and had very happy demeanors, at least while I was there. I thought this was one of the better aspects of the hotel.
The room was OK. At first glance it's nice but upon closed inspection it's worn...some of the details are a little worn, the woods, desk, etc., the bathroom is not all that great, the towels as well...but no real issue w/ all this, not a show stopper, but it's not a super high quality. The toilet was not that inspiring in particular - the seat cover thingy was really thing and cheap.
However, I did experience some issues w/ the water that was a problem. There was rusty water more than once...while I would run it it would sometimes start popping, stopping momentarily and they spitting out rusty water. It would usually clear up after a few minutes of spitting. One time the water just stopped completely, mid shower...got all rusty first, then stopped. Major bummer. I had to get out, get dressed, call the front desk, and they sent someone up. He fixed it in about 10 minutes which was good, but obviously this put a delay in the start of my day.
I think there was some issue w/ the water hotel-wide, they came in once to proactively flush the pipes...or maybe this is a common occurance. not sure. Regardless I never felt comfortable w/ the water I was bathing in...never knew when the next rust attack would happen.
The other issue was the constant door bell ringing. When I was in the room there would stop by constantly, asking if I needed something. I could hear them going to my neighbors too. This is a not that big a deal, I know it's to be nice, but it just seemed weird to me...overly helpful. I can reach out to the front desk if I need something.
There is a nallah right outside the hotel, so as you walk pretty much anywhere you will get some smells...nothing can be done about this, and it's pretty much everywhere anyway, and you get used to it.
I ordered cars a few times and it worked out very well.
Breakfast was excellent, IMO. The bacon was not great but I ate the local foods and enjoyed it quite a bit.
I don't have much to compare this w/ as this was my first stay in Bangalore, but this hotel seemed tolerable despite the problems. I would stay here again.

Thank you firstly for your detailed and constructive feedback on the hotel. We really do appreciate guests who take the time to go into details, as we can really take any concerns raised and analyse them properly and most importantly, fix them.
I am a little surprised when you mentioned "Despite what I had read in reviews here" the staff were very cheery and nice. Take a review of the previous 20 feedbacks and you will find that the majority of them specifically refer to our team members who have demonstrated time and again their great rapport with our customers, who have then subsequently shown their appreciation on trip advisor, so I am really glad that you experienced it yourself as well!!
We certainly don't profess to get it right all of the time, but definitely we have a passion to make the customer happy!
On the two issues mentioned, water being the first, I can assure you that we thankfully in 10 years of operation have had no problems in this area, I can only apologize that it was localized to your room and for sure we will take note of your feedback. We have our own water supply, plus filtration. I have shared this information with our Chief Engineer also to ensure that we have no repeat of such again.
With regards to your room disturbance, We do encourage our guests to use the do not disturb signs provided as we do in the course of an evening have to enter all our rooms either for servicing or for replenishment of amenities etc . We have noted your useful comments though and definitely will ensure we keep the contact aspect to a minimum when not required.
On the food side, glad you liked our breakfast . Also, thanks for the note about the bacon. Our challenge, as is every hotel, is catering to every taste. Let us know how you like it on your next stay with us and we will do our best to have your preference ready when you come down in the morning.
All in all you rated us a hotel that you would stay again should you come back to Bangalore. We would be delighted to have you!!!!
