“Nice Location, Clean Rooms and lovely breakfast”

I stayed here for 1N during a business visit to Bangalore. Since the office is close by, this location is idea. Also it is close to 100 feet road which has a nice share of upscale dining options. The hotel is located right at the end of a lane next to a residential complex. The only downside with the location is that there is a drainage canal next door and if you are exposed to some nasty smell near the entrance
The rooms are pretty large and comfortable with a nice working desk. You can also subscribe to the wireless connection, but it is not that fast. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is pretty spacious.
The breakfast was absolutely great and the service was super. The best part about the breakfast however is the location. The pleasant Bangalore weather in the morning makes this outdoor setting just perfect. The overall front desk staff was helpful and efficient

“Good location for some business, service ok”

I have stayed in this hotel twice and the rooms have been very nice, clean and comfortable and the location is good for some of the large companies in the area. The service in the hotels is ok, sometimes it is very good and sometimes it is not, for example when I checked in once they didn't tell me where breakfast was served the times etc. On the whole I would say its a good hotel.

Glad you found the hotel comfortable and clean and our location is indeed found very useful by many of the corporate companies that surround the hotel in the business district we are in.

We will certainly keep you updated on all our facilities and services and we are sorry we missed telling you about our breakfast location and times on your first visit.

“Nice but has some shortcomings”

I stayed here for business. The hotel was chosen for me and is very close to our office.

The hotel has a lobby and despite what I read in reviews here, I found the staff to be very cheery and nice. I was in and out a lot and ended up getting quite friendly w/ the guys at the front door - really good guys. The entire staff was very friendly and had very happy demeanors, at least while I was there. I thought this was one of the better aspects of the hotel.

The room was OK. At first glance it's nice but upon closed inspection it's worn...some of the details are a little worn, the woods, desk, etc., the bathroom is not all that great, the towels as well...but no real issue w/ all this, not a show stopper, but it's not a super high quality. The toilet was not that inspiring in particular - the seat cover thingy was really thing and cheap.

However, I did experience some issues w/ the water that was a problem. There was rusty water more than once...while I would run it it would sometimes start popping, stopping momentarily and they spitting out rusty water. It would usually clear up after a few minutes of spitting. One time the water just stopped completely, mid shower...got all rusty first, then stopped. Major bummer. I had to get out, get dressed, call the front desk, and they sent someone up. He fixed it in about 10 minutes which was good, but obviously this put a delay in the start of my day.

I think there was some issue w/ the water hotel-wide, they came in once to proactively flush the pipes...or maybe this is a common occurance. not sure. Regardless I never felt comfortable w/ the water I was bathing in...never knew when the next rust attack would happen.

The other issue was the constant door bell ringing. When I was in the room there would stop by constantly, asking if I needed something. I could hear them going to my neighbors too. This is a not that big a deal, I know it's to be nice, but it just seemed weird to me...overly helpful. I can reach out to the front desk if I need something.

There is a nallah right outside the hotel, so as you walk pretty much anywhere you will get some smells...nothing can be done about this, and it's pretty much everywhere anyway, and you get used to it.

I ordered cars a few times and it worked out very well.

Breakfast was excellent, IMO. The bacon was not great but I ate the local foods and enjoyed it quite a bit.

I don't have much to compare this w/ as this was my first stay in Bangalore, but this hotel seemed tolerable despite the problems. I would stay here again.

Thank you firstly for your detailed and constructive feedback on the hotel. We really do appreciate guests who take the time to go into details, as we can really take any concerns raised and analyse them properly and most importantly, fix them.

I am a little surprised when you mentioned "Despite what I had read in reviews here" the staff were very cheery and nice. Take a review of the previous 20 feedbacks and you will find that the majority of them specifically refer to our team members who have demonstrated time and again their great rapport with our customers, who have then subsequently shown their appreciation on trip advisor, so I am really glad that you experienced it yourself as well!!

We certainly don't profess to get it right all of the time, but definitely we have a passion to make the customer happy!

On the two issues mentioned, water being the first, I can assure you that we thankfully in 10 years of operation have had no problems in this area, I can only apologize that it was localized to your room and for sure we will take note of your feedback. We have our own water supply, plus filtration. I have shared this information with our Chief Engineer also to ensure that we have no repeat of such again.

With regards to your room disturbance, We do encourage our guests to use the do not disturb signs provided as we do in the course of an evening have to enter all our rooms either for servicing or for replenishment of amenities etc . We have noted your useful comments though and definitely will ensure we keep the contact aspect to a minimum when not required.

On the food side, glad you liked our breakfast . Also, thanks for the note about the bacon. Our challenge, as is every hotel, is catering to every taste. Let us know how you like it on your next stay with us and we will do our best to have your preference ready when you come down in the morning.

All in all you rated us a hotel that you would stay again should you come back to Bangalore. We would be delighted to have you!!!!

“Good experience”

My organization folks had booked Hotel Royal Orchid for all managers meeting. The place is centrally located and hence it was easy for all the participants to come over there at the right time. The hotel is located next to the Embassy Golf Links and one gets to have beautiful view of the Golf court. The hotel can be entered from two gates - one from the old airport road and the other from the Koramangala inner ring road. The former gate is the main one. The path leading to the latter gate is not good though for the sake of easier accessibility, people use this. Royal Orchid is a decent hotel which gave value for money. The food served was of good quality and the taste was also ok. I will not say it was excellent since there were a few dishes that could have been better. The room was spacious and had all the facilities required for a conference. The lunch was served at the open garden which was good. The car parking is spacious, though the land could have been made even at the parking lot. There is a big drain which flows near by and it stinks. The hotel authorities cannot do much about this.

“My Second Home”

Once again I stayed at HRO for 6 weeks October to end of November 2011. This place is my second home and the funny thing is that all of my Melbourne based colleagues say the same thing. The staff at HRO make the hotel, so I would be lost without them and have made some really good friends as well.

Working with a BPO is very demanding and often requires long hours of work and can be very draining.Staying at HRO means that I don't have to worry about anything, everyone knows my routine which is awesome, the restaurant staff and chefs know what my food preferences are , the travel desk managers know what time I need to leave for the office and the time that I liked to be picked up from the office, the housekeeping staff know what time I return from the office so that my room is always cleaned before I return and they also know what time to deliver my laundry etc. Really can't ask for more than that which is why I always stay here.

My room is always clean and never have any problems and the housekeeping staff are always polite and friendly.....thank you Payal.

The service delivery at Limelight ...never have any probelms here either and the food is great as well.....thanks Hemanth

It goes without saying that all of this does not happen on its own as you need a good team of leaders to make sure that it does.

Many thanks to Hari, Payal, Vinod and Hemanth for the great service delivery and also thanks to your respective teams.

I look forward to seeing you all in 2012.
