“Don't Stay Here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2007
3
people found this review helpful

The water was always cold, despite informing the management, the rooms were dirty and the bathrooms filthy. The TV didn't work. They asked us to move to another room on another floor and that was terrible too. The doorman wasn't interested in getting us a taxi that would use a meter, he colluded with the taxi drivers about the exhorbitant charges.
There are plenty of other hotels in this price range, in a more convenient area of the city. Ghandi Nagar is NOT the place to be if you want to see Bangalore shops and nightlife. And if you stay on the other side of town you won't have to pay the inflated taxi fares!!
We informed the management we were going to write this, and the didn't care at all. They had our money, why should they, they obviously don't do any repeat business......

Dear sir & madam,
This is with response to your post on tour advisor, kindly accept our sincere appologies for the inconvience that yu had to put up during your said visit to our hotel.

At the outset, we are happy to keep you informed that we have upgraded our water heating system and also taken the neccesary steps to ensure that our guests don't have to face the inconvience of any instances where my collegues would have to say about the excess fare being asked from our patrons.

while thanking you once again for your staying with us, we hope that you would give us another chance to prove you of the changes that you had mentioned in your comment.

regards
Raghvendra

“Do not stay here.”

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Feb 2006. Its a rip-off for 100USD a night. The rooms are dusty, the beds are rocks and the washrooms are aweful. I can't believe its called a comfort Inn. Under no circumstances should you use the Travel desk, they charge 5 times the normal price and are quite pushy. Avoid this hotel.

“Nothing more than a Hotel for backpackers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2006

This one is nothing more than a budget hotel and an insult to Comfort Inn franchise. Choice Hotels - US-based owner of "Quality In" and "Comfort Inn" only seems to have downgraded its standards. Rooms in shabby condition with dirty linens, shrinked carpet revealing the dirt beneath, shower curtains with fungus patches..... only remind you of a haunted house.

Breakfast only suitable for locals. I really wonder as to how the Choice Hotels officers could be putting up at this hotel and eating too!!

It was an embarassment for me as I had overseas visitors with me. It was out of no choice that I agreed to stay here as all 5-stars and 4-stars were going full (giving an "Art of Living" experience to their guests).

Bangalore needs more hotels to keep such "so-called" Comfort Inns out of business.

“Very bad experience at Comfort Inn”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2005

Terrible hotel. The room was dirty and the paint was peeling and the water bottle they gave us was NOT sealed and had no label.
There was a very dimly lit staircase, which my husband
fell all the way down and broke his ankle. They
said they would give us an upgrade (you've got to be
kidding).
Definitely not recommended.

“Good Value for Money Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2005

During 25th till the 29th of March 2005, I have stayed in this hotel.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend you reserve
room via internet to enjoy special rack rates or senior rates above 50!
Rooms are clean and give the visitor a smooth feeling once your are in. Either with kids or you as couple, it is a great place to stay due to excellent location. As of March, City drop by Hotel Travel Service Desk provided Car costed Rs.150.-, A day trour in an A/C Car for 8 hours with 80 K.m. including driver costed Rs. 950.- a bit expensive but comfortable for 5 persons and safe. An Autorikshaw from the Hotel to M.G. Road, main shopping centre, costs approximately Rs-25-30-but insist driver to put meter display though some are reluctant if they smell that you are from overseas. (during night a bit expensive).

Breakfast is ok. Normaly you get, Tea or Coffee, fruit juice, Papaya fruits and Pineapple, Cereals, Toasts (and Omlette fresh- you need to order)
in case you really do not like traditional Indian breakfast such as Idlis, doshas, Puris accompanied by cocunut chutney and Sambar! for Indian
guests Idlis and Doashas or Puris recommended!

If you have specific needs, ask the elederly friendly gentlemen, the
spervisor who will assist you whom I have noticed extremely children friendly.

Service in the breakfast room is unfortunately a bit slow but if you
wake them up, will get what you want. So please don't be hesitant!

PS: Advantage of this hotel is the ability to book via Internet via
Credit Card which could be easily cancelled without any hazzle
provided you do it well in advance. Moreover, it gives good value
for money! Clean and simple!
