This is small, laid-back, unpretentious place with friendly staff and a low-key ambience. The rooms are fine (best feature: a massage chair, the kind you find in shopping malls and airports, only right there in your room!).
I ate in the hotel both nights for lack of time: the ground floor restaurant was nothing special, but the third floor outdoor one was wonderful. Delicious freshly made kebabs, candlelit tables, and extremely attentive staff. I had to send my first kebab back (the chicken was still pink), but the second attempt was absolutely delicious, perfectly marinated in garlic and herbs, and I loved the 60s Bollywood soundtracks playing in the background (the kebab chef was happy to talk me through what the CD was called and how I could get it: Kishore, for anyone who's interested).
Dessert was delicious kulfi (a kind of ice-cream fudge hybrid), and I left delighted.
The reception staff were fairly slow at checking me in and out, but helpful and friendly otherwise. A special word of thanks to the in-house travel people who organised my business trip to Infosys very efficiently and and a very reasonable price, and a special hello to the driver drove very well, and patiently waited 45 minutes for me when my meeting ran over.
