Checked in at the Hotel Asia, Jammu, on 22nd June and checked out 23rd June 2011.

This was my first visit to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel does not provide a pick up from the airport. Being my first visit to Jammu was not aware that pre-paid phones do not work here and this can cause problems if you do not have someone to pick you from the airport or want to contact a taxi firm.

Though a room had been booked (my credit card details had been provide) it took the front desk sometime to find my reservation. However, the staff were friendly and willing to help. The corridors and the rooms are showing their age. The first room I was shown had a musty smell. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi. However, I had difficulty connecting, but the hotel very kindly agreed to take me to a number of different rooms until I got a good signal and had my luggage moved to this room.

The restaurant is good with a reasonably variety of food and the staff very friendly and offered good overall service. Be aware that the breakfast starts a little later than normal, at 7.30am.

Check out was no problems with the bill ready on my departure.

A relatively small hotel in a nice surrounding.Perhaps one of the best in Jammu town.The location is central & all places for sightseeing & markets are close by.Rooms are relatively big & well maintained. Quality of service & food is quite good.

Friendly staff, spacious rooms, location very close to the airport so travelling is easy.
The swimming pool area is a nice play to chill with friends in order to have a lazy day.

Food is average, the inhouse chinese restaurant is good but dining area should be made better.

What i dint like was the view from the hotel, its in a very crowded place but the inside is good and is among the best hotels to stay in Jammu.

We stayed only for a night. The hotel staff was very courteous and the rooms are very spacious. TV is not flat screen owing to the fact that hotel is about 40 years old and needs upgrade.

Food department left a lot to be desired. Food was good but the staff was not trained. They did not know the menu, did not know how to serve food splashing it around and even spilling water and coke. This was at the Indian restaurant Pavillion. The chinese restaurant "Yang-Tse" was a stark difference. Well trained staff, well lit and good food. Room service is 24 hours but the person taking our order was asleep and everything we tried to ordered was not available. Finally we settled for a sandwich as cook would not have to turn on the oven.
