Good Hotel. with excellent location. covered with Mountains and river. Warm service. Good ambiance & good food. Very peaceful place. They upgraded us to presidential suites on the last day of tour. Presidential suites are awesome with jaccuzi. Please note that the hotel is not centrally heated.

It was my first anniversary on January 7, 2012 and I was searching for a hill station resort so through online search I came to know about Solang Valley Resort – It’s a Welcomheritage itc group and then I called them to get confirm my booking. I confirmed volvo bus package royal honeymoon with superior deluxe room. On the day of first when we reached at manali bus stand it was a great surprise of heavy snow through that nobody could even move from there. Then the resort people called me up & approached us to take a big vehicle which will cost me 1500 extra. It was a great hectic to reach there, I realized that we are in a very big trouble. I got to understand that we had done a big blunder to get our booking confirmed here. Finally when reached there at the resort, the front office staffs were made us so comfortable & calm and informed us that during snow time they use to organize these big vehicles which are chargeable extra as some tunnel or something is on construction on that road so transportation cant be at congested situation and is accessible 24x 7, although a car like alto can be easily accessible in the normal days. Later we got our room. Believe me then I realized that for this kind of view instead of 1500 I don’t mind to pay even 15000 for that vehicle for dropping us to this resort. In the evening they organize a candle light dinner specially for us which was not possible near river bank but they organized in our balcony which was far better than river bank with a special cake and wine for us on the occasion of our anniversary on that evening (which were hidden part of our packages). It was excellent experience of staff serving at the table with a smiling face. We were felt like so special and sat on heaven. On the next evening they organized a local himachali dance which was fabulous an ethnic touch. On the day of check-out they organize a gift for us and we moved towards local sightseeing and then they dropped us at the same bus stand where I supposed to lost my breath horribly on the first day finally I assumed that it was a kind of adventurous game, but this time I have full of fun and nice experience in my heart. Although I’m a fond of hill stations so had visited many hill stations since childhood. But the location like at solang valley resort is out of the world as I never ever seen this view. Next year I’m again coming that’s for sure....................

An excellent property managed by Welcome Heritage just 9 KM beyond Manali town sorrounded by hills on two sides and a powerful stream (Sloang Nala) on the third. The peaks of Dhauladhar range are so close that one could feel as if they can be touched from the hotel lawn.
We were a group of 9 people and came in from Bilaspur to arrive at 2PM on a Sunday afternoon. The check in service was prompt and very efficient. We informed the Hotel while booking from Delhi that we may need a wheel chair and a brand new wheel chair was ready at the reception as we were Checking in. Excellent views from glacier rooms and the view from Presidential Suites are breath taking with Dhauladhar range on one side and Rhotang peaks on the other.
Room amenities were very good for a three star property and service was beyond expectation. Food and Beverage service quality is super and the staff at the dining room are more than eager to please your taste buds. We wanted to have some fresh water grilled trouts and with 24 hours advance notice they made one of the best grilled trout I ever had.
We stayed for 5 nights and it was one of the most enjoyed vacations we had in recent past.
All of us are normally quite demanding being all above 50 age group and most of us travel quite extensively in India and overseas. And we did not come back disappointed at all.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing break away from the crowd and filth of main Manali town.
