“Fantastic Stay at the studio room in Manali Heights”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We stayed for 3 nites from January 22nd to 25th 2012 at a Studio room at Manali heights. We planned this trip to celebrate our Anniversary and we were very very satisfied and happy with the stay.. The view from the the room was just too good with snow covered mountains all around. The hotel staff was very courtious and very guest centric. The travel desk was very good and managed us a trip to Solang Valley and skiing there. The food as well was quite homely and good.
The hotel is located at the Log hut road which is around a couple of kms away from the crowd of Mall rd. Commuting might be a bit expensive if you need to travel again and again to the Mall rd to shop with a one way fare of Rs150. The hotel could better that with a shuttle service for its guests. We also got lucky to get the Wi fi connectivity one day ..however it had some issues for the rest of the 2 days.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel..For the location, food, the staff and whatever they do to make it a great stay

Room Tip: The studio room was very good as we got a view from the extended window that gives you a fantastic a...

“Average hotel”

We stayed or 3 nights in early Dec with the family choosing the Royal suite. The room was Ok but we were inconvenienced by the fact that we got the top flr (4th) and the hotel does not have lifts.

As noted by other the heater turning on was rather annoying and we ended up turning them off (there were 2) to get a more peaceful sleep.

The food at the restaurant was below average and we ended up eating outside where possible.

The hotel is also located in the older part of Manali and is a fair distance from the city centre.

Room Tip: Eat elsewhere

“Not a good Hotel”

The Staff was very curt, uncaring for tourists, treated children curtly and even the food isn't upto standards. Hotel rooms are ok, but the AC (central heating) kept making sounds like a Turbine all night and had to keep switching on and off, so we could sleep. They do not even serve alcoholic drinks there, you would have to get one on your own from the markets. Overall not a good staying experience and SOTC had recommended it in their package that we took.

Room Tip: Ask for a good view of the mountains and they have plenty and with balcony. Views are nice as sun ri...

“Not worth money paid......”

we had stayed for two nights at this property and went after reading several reviews. but to our surprise, we were puzzled as we didn't find the property comfortable at all.

we had booked two rooms for our family and had planned to celebrate 31st but then due to the problems, we shifted our stay paying them extra for one night.

Problems:

1. Room Heater was very Noisy
2. Buffet served was absolutely cold.

we did not enjoy our stay and would recommend that this hotel is not worth paying Rs. 4000 per night.

“Average Budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Average Budget hotel. Service was ok.

One thing that annoyed us is that there are sheduled powercuts in the hotel. And the best part is the DJ in the resturant. We never had a peaceful dinner during the whole three days of our stay. I am not sure how many guests were enjoying that DJ while having dinner. I never saw even single couple dancing for that sounds couming out of big speakers during my entire stay of three days.

Location is very good and peaceful as it is in the log huts road.

The travel desk is very very good in this hotel. We were able to make it to Rohtang pass in the month of december only because we went through their travel desk. We loved the trip.
