Setting and location --a ten minute walk from the craziness of the "mall" in Manali.
Room clean and cozy , around lovely small garden area. Great restaurant food, setting, and service and hospitality of the waiter who made sure we were happy with our food. I wish i recalled his name to say "Thanks"--an older gentleman, very serious and concerned. He even showed us the kitchen--SPOTLESS!! Wonderful food. Outstanding fresh trout, tandoori style. My daughter happened to mention at lunch that she likes chicken pot pie and voila--four hours later we had a big freshly made one at dinner!
We ate all our meals in the delightful restaurant. Its back windows overlook the beautiful tall trees forest behind the hotel. Rooms with the rustic wood look, fireplace, and decent bathroom with tub window which also overlooked the forest. This place was a welcome respite from the hecticness of Manali in June!!
Beds were comfortable but as in many Indian hotels., no mattress pad between sheet and mattress, so we slept o the top sheet as well.
I recommend this hotel but conditionally-- ONLY if you can be assured of a room without people in the adjoining room. Why? Because the walls are paper thin!
We heard every noise, loud and soft, from the next room. Beware if you are on honeymoon (-;
The first night, there was a group of young guys talking and drinking on the patio outside, until 2 am, and attempts to have them lower their voices were usually unsuccessful But...it was June in Manali and there were huge crowds , many in a partying mode.
Next night it was a family traveling with a child. We heard very conversation, the child crying, the mother hushing it with lullabies. It was as if we were all in the same room!
