I first stayed here in 1999 with the legendary Patrick Moffat and his motorcycle group, on our way to ladakh. It was fabulous even back then. Twelve years later and it's just as good. Every room is wooden with polished floors and large, comfortable beds and the small ante-rooms in each room look out on the wonderful old pine forest behind. The manager is one of the best men in India -- he is completely honest, friendly and genuinely helpful. The staff are professional. The food is out-of-this-world. Try the fresh trout.
