“great place to stay for a family!”

We spent more than a week in this charming guest house in old Manali. Comfortable room, with all the facilities (WiFi, Cable TV), but most important - the friendly & helpful attitude ot the owners make it a great place to stay. Far from the noisy streets of old Manali, but close enough to enjoy their Caffee's and Restaurants. We had a 2 room Suite, ideal for a travelling family.

“Best guest house in old manali!”

This is the best guest house in old manali... Superb house very homely! Beautiful and reasonable priced accomadation. We stayed for nearly three weeks just didn't want to leave. Gorgeous cats, and peaceful setting amongst apple orchards. we love it and are sure to return. Home cooked food by johnny who has a great sense of humour as well as being a good cook. The place is owned by the postmaster surinder and his lovely wife sushma. They run a perfect home from home guest house! We have made wonderful friends here, its an unforgettable experience i will take home with me and look forward to returning. It has a lot of character and warmth, the rooms are furnished with traditional rugs and i can only describe it as a wooden lodge with very clean attached bathrooms and attractive balconies great views upstairs and the garden is very pleasant to sit in. Enjoy the aromas of lod manali if you are into the country then this is the place for you. Had a look round at the surrounding guest houses but they are nowhere near this little hidden oasis. Please go there you won't regret it... Highly recommended!

“New,clean,family run,helpful,peaceful,oasis,spacious best of India.”

I met Guddu at the bus station and thought he was another rickshaw driver he described his guest house in apple orchards and he was the postmaster of Manali so I was hooked. He drove me to his premises over the river to Old Manali which is a much more peaceful place compared to Manali. The guest house was situated among apple orchards with yellow mustard flower meadows with mountain views, traditional built old houses near by which looked 500 years old.My first impression of the property was a Alpine ski resort chalets only tw0 floors with large balconies with seating and new spacious rooms which were clean with a beautiful soft bed and fully tiled spotless bathroom with hot water and new fixtures and fittings.Slept like I did back home food was good and can order from 7am to 9pm and the family did out of there way sometimes if you asked.Prices were very good and didn't feel I was in India because of the peaceful and beautiful nature of the place.I visited Manali a few times to change money ,eat and shop but soon got fed up with the smoky rickshaws and tout pestering and was glad to stay around Orchards house which had nicer cafes around. You can walk around the orchards right down the valley and walk up the mountain to the ridge and look back at the amazing views of the mountains and valley.Guddu's wive also weaved traditional Kullu shawls.
