A well appointed hotel with plenty of friendly staff, but being seriously let down by management policies.
I stayed between 30 th Jan and 1st Feb 2012. Outside temperature was around 21 degrees.
Public areas were air conditioned but rooms were not, so with solar gain and occupancy the temperature in the room overnight was over 27 C
So it was impossible to sleep properly! I complained seven times, I even had them give me a new room which I left unoccupied with the A/C running for an hour, no temperature change???
It was obvious that a management decision had been made to turn off room A/C?
Engineers came to each room, but just shrugged their shoulders having pressed a few buttons, bit no one would admit that they were trying to cut costs at the expense of the advertised facilities or the comfort of their guests.
Breakfast was a buffet layout, but again managment where cutting back, it was spread very thin, variety was poor and service slow and inaccurate. A mixed frut sald made up of 85% melon with a few pieces of pina[le and pear?
We left letting them know how unhappy we were, but if you are working close by, passing through and need a decent night’s sleep, there’s plenty of other choice locally.
So regrdless af a good resteraunt on the 2nd floor, some excellent staff, it can not be recomended.
