We had gone to watch the Metallica Concert and had put up at Lemon Tree. It's a nice budget hotel, however, slacks in Service. We had done our booking through Agoda and somehow, they didn't get any confirmation. We showed the confirmation email we received our from Agoda, but they wouldn't consider that! It took us some time convince them that we had our booking confirm and they need to figure out how to put us up. Only after they managed to get their manager, our problem got solved. After that they took sometime to get the right keys for our room! We were kind of upset by then. The rooms are small, but pretty clean. The bathroom was nice and clean. We had two meals there and it was good too.
On the whole, the hotel is a nice, budget/business hotel.

By the name I just felt that there wouldn't be any good service as its a budget hotel....but i was totally taken by surprise when the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Right from the bell boy to the reception to the housekeeping , everyone did their work very well.....

Although there was no water for one day as some work was going on but they solved that issue as well by giving hot water bucket in the least possible time.

Quick service and response is what I liked the best and was surprised frm a budget hotel. Good value for money and helpful staff.....
Simple things like laundry service to the best was taken care of , unlike other hotel...I was shocked when a hotel like TAj Samudra in Colombo cheated me with the laundry service by just ironing the clothes and giving me.

Whereas Lemon tree gave the clothes in a very well presented manner, totally clean and on time.

5 star rating for this hotel. Keep up the good work ........

I had very reluctantly booked this hotel as I had some horror stories but when nothing else was available they came to rescue. they were good value for money. i would call more an inn/motel than a hotel. the reasons for calling it that, TV was an old archaic style CRT TV. power cuts with no UPS were common. the restaurant serving breakfast was basic.

having said all the above, i would want to reiterate what i have said in teh title, it is a good value for money but i wouldnt call it a hotel but an inn or a motel.

Extremely expensive for what they offer, you can stay in Lila kempinsky with the same money and they are different in quality like night and day. The staff were very young and inexperienced and the service was bad. Their credit card machines were a joke and they couldn't accept any of our cards and our local guide had to help us by using his local card to pay for our stay. Our European cards worked everywhere else in India. The rooms were very small and the windows let the cold in. The towels should be white but they had a grey color.
