we had taken vacation , choice on the bais of name may fair of darjeeling, it was the disappointment by quality of rooms, food and other, there could have bieng the alternate more choices in goa,
the staff co-operation was the same that of thier parents of darjeeling,'
the suite room which was taken by us needs very much repairing

We stayed at Mayfair resort Goa and felt that its one of the best and exclusive properties at Goa with an amazing view and amazing and friendly services. The food was amazing and the chefs took care of all our requests. The swimming pool offered an amazing view.

What else we had memorable trip in this small boutique Resort

We had very high hopes for this place as we'd been shown some lovely photos of it but the reality of staying there was a nightmare. The website is very misleading as it links to tripadvisor reviews for a different Mayfair hotel located in Panjim which is miles away! 

The pickup from the airport was fine, we had drinks and cool towels for the journey which were lovely in the goan heat.  We soon realised it was quite a way from any kind of civilisation but when we got there we were greeted beautifully and the entrance walkway and reception were very boutique hotel like and we were beginning to think we'd really enjoy it here. We were taken to our room which was also lovely but when we got there the cot that we had ordered for one-year-old was a tiny babies crib that was so small that his head touched the top and feet touched the bottom. We decided to go and get some food, we went straight to the restaurant ( of which there is only one with a limited menu) as we were all starving after a long journey. We were then told that even though we'd been sold a package as all-inclusive ( which they still insisted it was) that we could only have meals between very strict times and there was no drinks included. This was infuriating as we'd chosen this resort because with a toddler we wanted all inclusive so we weren't restricted to set mealtimes! We eventually ordered our food which they refused to put in as part if the package, I ordered a spagetti bolognese from the menu and got a strange concoction of noodles in a soy sauce with chicken and chopped peppers? I asked the waiter to change it for a spagetti bolognese as there had obviously been a mistake and instead the chef was sent out to argue with me and tell me that this WAS the spagetti bolognese. This was just the start of 3 days of horrible food and terrible slow service. Lamb dishes that were just plates of skin and gristle served in sauce and other inedible random food that meant by day 3 we just didn't want to eat anymore abd being in the middle of nowhere we had nowhere else to go! 

One day we decided to take the boat trip to the beach, the "boat" was a rescue dinghy with no children's lifejackets which dropped you to the filthiest back end of the beach where you then had to walk/climb through the vegetation and past the wild dogs for 15/20 mind to get to any kind of beach, and this "service" only ran during hottest part of the day so for a pregnant woman and a small child it was totally unsuitable! 

All in all it we had a terrible time at this resort and after 2 days of phone calls and complaints with the resort trying to convince us to stay we moved to the Cidade de Goa and were able to enjoy the rest of our holiday, I just wish we hadn't had to spend any of it in the Mayfair Hideaway Spa!
