My wife and I booked a Three week holiday with Travelpack.As allways we looked forward to our holiday with some enthusiasm as we had visited India on two previous occasions.Fortunately for us,in the past we hade never booked into so called accommodation such as sodders beach classic. I personally have never seen inside a so called hotel in such a state of filth and decay,ever,in three decades of travelling throughout the world,but Africa and Asia in particular.The floor of the bathroom was smeared with human excrement and actually had a footprint in it,and there was dried blood on the wall.We left a short time after our arrival.When we returned to England I contacted Travelpack,and sent photos to support our complaint We were told that under ABTA rules they had a month to reply fully.Three months later I contacted ABTA myself, and then I received an unsigned letter from travelpack asking for more photos. On june the 13th,I made a claim against Travelpack at Northampton County Court ,judgment was made against them on 7th july 2008.

We have been staying at the Beach Classic for 5 years now and are returning next year. The rooms are basic but provide all that is needed for a beach holiday in a hot climate. It is very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The pool is great and the food has improved a lot so that we often spend whole days there rather than going to the beach. Air conditioning is good and there is a TV with a wide range of channels in every room. Many restaurants/bars closeby and a walk through the woods to the beach takes about 5 minutes. There are hotel taxis at the end of the lane.

Why because we were sent there on the ‘recommendation’ of a member of staff from Travelpack as we wanted to get married in Goa Last year.

The hotel is dirty, very basic and the rooms leave a lot to be desired.

Complain if you want to (you’ll get no where) and have to form a line to voice your complaint on deaf ears. Hotel management don’t acknowledge any complaints where as Travelpack do BUT still do nothing whatsoever.

The only ‘nice thing about it is the pretty picture in the brochure and that does not say anything about the rest of the hotel.

You can get better quality hotels for as little as £40 per person per week and upgrade to say Marinha Dourada in Baga.

Goa is a fantastic place but give this hotel and Travelpack a very wide berth and you’ll enjoy all Goa has to offer
