“Excellent for first time”

This was our first experience of Goa the only thing we knew was what was written on Trip Adviser and tips we picked up on the internet.
Must agree with the majority of reviews Victor Exotica was excellent value for money staff very friendly also all the guests mixed with each other got loads of imformation from regular visitors about Goa which to be honest came in handy when booking trips taxi's and bartering.Only tiny fault with our room was the lack of a fridge to cool the drinks.Hotel ground's kept spotless the life gaurds forever cleaning the pool from falling leaves.
The beach is a 10 minute walk away best route was down the hotel lane turn right cross the road take the first left and follow the road we found you need to get there pretty early to get sun beds cost 50 rps all day we never ate at the shacks due to the fact we got off the beach around 1-00 pm because of the heat.On a couple of occasions we found broken glass at the sea edge would advise footwear on the beach. The sea can be a bit rough but all the more fun for swimming.
We booked a trip to Cola Beach brilliant value for money it's a two hour trip by mini bus to one of the most remote beachs in south Goa camping overnight food included all for about £35 each had to buy your own drinks also cheap. There are numerous trips to take most people do a deal with a taxi driver in fact if you want to know anything about Goa ask a taxi driver. We never saw a cloud for the two weeks we were there temperature into the 30's every day mid 20's in the evening. Before we went we went to Goa people were going on about having clothing made out there but from what i got quoted they were no cheaper than at home.Didn't bother eating out mainly because of the good food at the Victor Exotica and being A/I also hygene didn't appear to be at it's best in most places although many of the places seemed to be very popular probabley me being to fussy.
The only fault we found with Goa was it is in a desperate need of a good tidy up as once you leave your hotel there's rubbish dumped at the side of the road no one bothers to clean up i suppose they wait for the monsoons to arrive and wash it away but don't let it spoil your holiday you get used to it also the airport not one of the best it took almost 2 hrs from getting off the coach to getting to the checking in desk also the security is really strict.Don't overload your bags £17 per kilo.
We will almost certainly be visiting Goa again its got many positives mainly the weather beaches cheapness and also the friendlyness by everyone.

Room Tip: Travelled with Thompson paid a little extra for poolside room.

“Good base to stay”

We stayed at the Victor Exotica from 21 jan til 5 feb in a superior room. I found the fridge really useful as you could keep your diet coke cool as this is not included in the AL. Don't really know what else you got for the superior upgrade but the room was spacious and clean. the sheets, towels changed most days. the air conditioning was so noisy you could'nt leave it on at night but the fan was great. The pool area is quite pretty but due to the trees the water is very refreshing! We didn't really use the resturant apart from for breakfast. as the food out and about was so fabulous and cheap. We would use the Victor Exotica again for a base but only if the price was right, as we found we wanted to go out and taste all that Goa has to offer. Outside the hotel is the main road which comes alive with sounds and people at night, there are dozens of bars and great places to eat and we found everyone so friendly. We tried several resturants and never had a bad meal... We used to come back some mights for a couple of drinks before bed. My only gripe is please could they use glasses for your drinks in the evening rather than plastic beakers.

Room Tip: we stayed in C block only thing is there is an office right outside with a phone which rings early i...

“Another great holiday at the victor exotica”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We have just returned for a second time from The Victor Exotica. We were not dissapointed. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much bother. The food is excellent and they try to cater for all with varied dishes. There were a few complaining but they were the typical chips with everything brigade! Location is good and in a quiet position, like a beautiful haven compared to the busy main road.Bedrooms are of a good size and very clean. You can pay more for a villa room which are located around the pool area, but you would experience a lot of noise in the evenings and they are not very private.we much prefer to be in the main block where you get a secluded balcony. The added benefit of gates with security gaurds make you feel very safe.We will more than likely be visiting this hotel again and again.

“great holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed here Jan/Feb 2012. Had a great holiday, weather was great people are really friendly. The hotel was very clean, and is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Stayed here last year and loved it, thats why I booked the same hotel again.Unfortunatley this year they are now allowing smoking in public places which spoilt the holiday. It has its own smoking area and should enforce it. I would not like to be put into a room where the previous occupier has smoked as happened to some guests. If it was not for this I would have given the hotel a 5 star.
