“Cannot be faulted”

Arrived very early morning 30/1/12, details taken and shown to room G4 within 10 minutes to find a bunch of flowers and a welcome back card from management and staff even though we were last here 3 years ago - very nice.
Apartment with balcony overlooking pathway and next to pool area, bedroom with en suite, double wardrobe, large bed and a/c.
Sitting area with tv and little kitchen area with sink, fridge and tea/coffee making equipment.
Ceiling fans in both rooms, everything working ok and very clean indeed.
Few hours sleep and up for breakfast in beautiful dining area where you can sit outside in the sunshine or inside with a/c and ceiling fans. If you don't like your room they will move you if possible.
Wide selection for breakfast or ask the staff if you want something specific, if they can do it they will - no problem. This was a feature throughout our stay whatever the request.
Pool area very clean, not too big with plenty of beds, a library, shady areas, bar that opened at 11am and no blasting music.
Pathway at rear of reception led to very nice beach (5 minutes) and the usual choice of shacks all the way along it.
Main entrance with taxi rank led on to the main road with all the restaurants and bars you need within walking distance or short taxi ride.Particular mention should go to Tuscany Gardens ( Italian ) right next to hotel entrance and Shivers about 300m towards Calangute on opposite side of road.
Hotel dining was alternate theme nights buffet and a la carte which were all excellent and of restaurant standard and your glass will never be empty. Usually some form of entertainment.
Hotel does need a touch up here and there but cannot over emphasise how good it really is.
Seems churlish to single out members of staff because they were all of the highest quality ( and all remembered your name ) but special mention goes to Sunil who looked after our room, Morris and John in the restaurant and Su the pool barman.
Average guest age is 40+ all shapes and sizes and all very friendly. Remember to take a padlock for security box.
Have been home for 12 hours and already looking to return here next year.
Highly recommended.

“Amaizing Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We love this hotel. The staff are fantastic., They can't do enough for you, nothing is too much trouble. Have stayed here I can't remember how many times. Will come back again and again. The hotel is very small and friendly, an idylic setting, gardens are maintained to a very high standard. Rooms are cleaned daily and nothing is too much for the room boy.

The food is 1st class, if you don't like what is on the menu the chef wil do all he can to accommodate you.

Every saff member of this hotel wil go that extra mile to help you.

Such a relaxing place. Rooms are more than adequate.

Some people will complain at anything.

Personally, we can't wait to come back.

“Another great holiday”

6th time to Aldea Santa Rita and each time is just as good--already booked for 2013 with our 4 other friends.
Staff as usual were very good especially the new trainees--but first place goes to Sunil our room boy, nothing is too much trouble for him.
Hope Ramish is better as he was ill while we were there.
Orlando doesn't change and still sings the same old songs but his voice gets better with age.Started using the local transport and that was an eye opener but only 5 rupees a trip.
A couple of people have said a few bad things but we cannot fault the place.
May be time for a new menu but lets see how the new chef goes??

“So Good I've Already Booked Next Year's Return Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Stayed at the Aldeia Santa Rita from 22nd Jan to 5th Feb 2012 and enjoyed every minute of it. So pleased with my choice of the ASR that within 3 days of getting home I've booked to return at the same time next year.

The rooms are a little basic but are kept clean and fully functional. There was always hot water for a shower which is sometimes a problem in other hotels. My only slight problem with the room was the lack of drawer space for clothing so T Shirts etc had to remain folded up in my suitcase.

The food was great and there were plenty of theme nights and a la carte nights. As for the staff they were wonderful and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. I will not praise individual staff members as I think that they were all as good as each other and they all deserve high praise indeed. The staff contributed towards an extremely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Within a few days they all know your name, which room you are in and what your tipple is. Heaven! I can see why so many people are repeat visitors.

The ASR is in the quiet end of Candolim but is only a short walk from the beach. If you are going to Goa and want to stay in Candolim, do yourself a favour and book the Aldeia Santa Rita

Went to Aldia again for the fith year running. Nothing has changed much. Staff are still very friendly and helpfull.Food is excellent with different theme nights. Rooms are basic but cleaned every day and linen changed every other day. Cannot thank the staff enough for making our holiday first class. Thanks.
