“Rooms”

After a 10hr flight on arrival at the Pheonix we was told we would have to wait for 5hrs until our room was available, no re-freshments or food was offered to us just told to come back. We finally was shown our room which was what we called a dungeon it was dark, dirty, in need of total re-decoration the bathroom was discusting dirty mouldy grout, the sink needed total gouting filling round the sink as there was none,The view from our so called balcony was a brick wall. The receptionist rang as soon as we looked round I told her we needed 2 move & she put the phone down, we was later told to give them 2 days to sort another room which ended up 41/2 days then shown another which was the same, eventually we got a larger room a bit better. Talking to other guest they too had the same experiences so just be careful unless you book an exclusive room which we have been told was lovely.

Room Tip: book a superior room

“Just get's better every year”

Stayed here in January 2012, our fourth visit to this hotel. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Check in was speedy and efficient which was important as we arrived at midnight. We were in room 1201 in Zai block right facing the bar and this is the best room we have stayed in at this hotel. The room was huge with a good sized bathroom, flat screen TV and tea and coffee facilities. There was plenty wardrobe and cupboard space for all our stuff, and a safe which we paid a refundable £40 deposit for. The room was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard with clean towels every day, arranged in different designs every day including a plane on the night before our departure.
The breakfast area has been refurbished to a high stadard and the breakfast choice and standard is excellent with Indian and Continental options available.
As always the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and sorted out any minor issues we had.
Candolim was a little busier than the last time we visited in 2011 but still not crowded.
We spent most days at the beach at either Bobby's Shack or Bayview shack which are both excellent with great food. There was a issue with the police limiting sun beds at the shacks to only 10 beds which meant that some days beds had to be removed when the police paid a visit. This was a bit annoying but as we were on the beach early most mornings not a huge problem for us. It is however a real issue for the shack owners as they are losing money with customers having to go elsewhere if no beds were available.
We ate at Rising Waves a few times as it the food was excellent. We also ate at Inferno, Coco 21, Top Nosh and Cutty Sark which were also very good.
Spent most evenings at the Mango Grove; good atmosphere and live music and also ate here a couple of times as the food was very good.
We have already booked up to return next year and can't wait to return. I would highly recommend this hotel for high standard of accomodation, food and service.

“Great hotel homely feel and friendly staff”

This hotels in a great location. I upgraded the room and it was fantastic it only cost around 100 a week for me to upgrade and was well worth it. As I visited with the dreaded monarch flight of death via kwaite scam they only give the crappy rooms at the back. The breakfast is lovely, the pool relaxing and nice, Indian cookery classes where fun. Only downfall drinks more pricey all the hotel could be found at the bar at the top of the street into the late hours. But most hotels are more costly and this is goa you should be out. P.s if you do get sick of stake please do try the mermaid it doesn't look much but the fillet stake is out of this world. And it's so cheap. You won't regret your stay at phenix park and the taylor is quality ...enjoy:)

“Phenominal Phoenix!”

My visit to India was absolutely wonderful. However from the many places I visited and the various hotels I stayed in, the best was undoubtedly the Phoenix Park Inn Resort situated in Cadolim Goa. The highlight of that hotel is the amazing friendliness and hospitality of the staff. From the moment you step into the hotel, you are treated and served like royalty. The lovely pool area makes for a perfect day of relaxation. With A variety of exotic, delicious food and beverages I enjoyed my holiday in Goa without having to step out of my hotel! The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. On my next visit to Goa I will deffinately be staying at the Phoenix Park Inn Resort and I would highly recommend that you should!!!

Room Tip: Double rooms are very spacious and comfortable
