i checked in hotel republic and in came a guy asking us to order food despite refusing another guy comes in and asks why haven't we ordered food..??
on repeatedlt asking for water they did'n't send in water. you have to at least ask 5 times.i ordered a cup of tea and it was served in shabby condition , broken cups , spilled tea all over and tasted yuk.
hotel staff tries to sneek/ peep in room periodically . i heard a little noise on door i opened i saw two guards with guns upon asking what the heck are you doing. they said checking, what the heck it that??if you wanna check knock and say it upfront .

there was this guy next door whose important stuff was stolen from his room and he was very upset with hotel staff

hotel staff is rude and impolite and your belonging are not safe in hotel at all.

don't go on star rating though it is suppose to be 3 star hotel its services are poor even for one star. i wonder how did they manage to even get a star rating.

A big no no at all those people who are planning to book a room in hotel republic .

Location: Excellent
No parking space for four wheelers. You pay for parking.
One scary lift which is mostly used by staff who leave the gates open and complaining to the staff is of no use..so you are compelled to use the lifts. Height is so much that two floors feels like four.

Rooms: No hooks to hang your clothes in the bathroom. Bathrooms not so clean. Won't lock properly. No footmat just outside bathroom. Housekeeping ppl wil leave the toilet soap on ur bed so when u go to toilet, u will be compelled to come out. (Usually in hotels, they replace the soap and keep it in the washroom itself).
Noisy AC

House keeping doesnt provide bedsheet under the blanket. Won't give even if u ask them or shout at them.
Call bells won't work, and room-service phones are noisy. So get ur order repeated and confirmed.
Shouting to call the staff is a normal procedure and still they won't care at all.

Food:
Tandoori chicken was served cold and that too without a piece of lemon or proper salad. Shouting at kitchen staff of no use.
Breakfast takes more than an hour to be prepared.
Noodles and chowmein served without any tomato sauce or vinegar.

Service:
Extremely poor service. You'll feel like a junior most person in a govt office -- noone listen to you, noone cares, advice and suggestions are like water on a duck's back.
Room service phones are attended sometimes and then u will find the line noisy.
roomservice-Bells doesnt work.(not always)

I booked 18 rooms for my Brother's marriage, They charged 1800/- per room. But when i went to occupy the room on 2nd Dec 2009, They refused to give any single room, Hotel Manager B K Panday started threating me and my 35 Gust, They abused me and my Gust, Even they told if we are not leaving hotel, they will start beeting us. Then finaly we left this hotel and manged my gust in other gust houe. They day was so painful for me, to rememmber whole life about this hotel. I had given Rs.10 thousand in advanced. They didn't returned my money.
So please don't book this hotel any way, other wise they are ready to cheat you, and they will abused any moment.

The Republic is supposed to be a three star hotel but it is as good as a dharamshala.
The service is abysmal and you have to ask for an item at least thrice before it is provided.
There is no restaurant at the hotel, but there is provision for in room dining.
The room I stayed in was on the first floor and it was below par.
The rent charged was Rs.1200 per day and I am sure one can find a far better hotel in Patna with that amount.
The staff behave as if they are doing you a big favour by giving you the basic amenities.
The owners of the hotel should take a really close look at the way this hotel is being run.
