Being the capital of a state Hotels are always in demand in Patna. So most of the times it is difficult to get the rooms on arrival. This place has only advantage that it is at the centre of the city. Otherwise no service-absolutely no service. Food quality is worst possible and staffs are rude. If you consider as a budget hotel, and no other place at exhibition road to stay .. can stay here.

We arrived in Patna late in the evening and found no vacancies at many hotels due to the weddings taking place in town. Hotel Republic had one room left, right on the first floor behind the reception. It was one of the worst rooms we've stayed in - dingy with stained sheets. Room service was nothing special. 2450 RS.

Our admin arranged our stay at Hotel Republic as there was no vacancy in other hotels. The entrance to the 1st floor lobby is after passing the entire passage/garage on the ground floor, which is the 1st -ve thing. The room was Ok. However when we ordered for food, it took atleast 40 mins to serve - moreover it is too spicy and oily. The AC was also making sound.
At night we went outside for dinner to avoid hotel food.
Not a a vert good place to stay, unless you have no other option.

Rooms are pathetic....service is very bad.shady place to stay in..We had conference hall booked there..conference hall were more like marriage hall rather than conference hall..Hotel is in such a location that whole night the sounds from the road can be heard..food is average
