I had stayed in this hotel a couple of times. The recent stay was better than the earlier ones. The hotel is revamped now. We had done a couple of business meetings at this hotel,since the hotel provided better value for money + location advantage. It is in the city CBD & its comfortable for business partners to visit this location often than the hotels in the outskirts of the city. The rooms were comfortable & the restaurant inside offered good food. They offer good rates for corporates.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Comfortable, clean rooms with quick, efficient room service. Two great restaurants, including the new nizam specialising in Hyderabaddi cuisine

This is one of the best hotels I have come across so far, I totally enjoyed my stay there,I recommend it for every one who plans to put up in Hyderabad for a trip. The Golkonda is a complete package that provides a comfortable stay + Nice ambiance + Good food along with good service.

This hotel was booked based on the review on this site.Though another hotel was booked through a group for my conference,I had to reach the city two days earlier due to flight schedules.
First appearance:
Good location.Even though very close to busy roads and a fly over,there was no noise,at least in the room I got.Lobby is OK with out the grandeur of a high end hotel (which I am not bothered about at all)

Check in:Was fast and pleasant

Nice bedding & pillows
Flat screen TV (English,Hindi and lots of Telugu channels.No BBC/Sky news/Sports or Tamil/Malayalam/Kannada channels)
Bath room and toilets were clean and spacious and had all the necessary kits.The glass panel in the bath room,even though initially appeared a bit awkward,came in handy to watch the test cricket while sitting in the toilet ;).

Breakfast : Plenty of choices.I chose for the south indian dishes like dosa/idli etc and they were delicious and authentic.The service was also good

Jewel of Nizam restaurant: Very good ambiance,good selection of food and helpful staff.

The bar upstairs was relatively small with small tables.If you are planning to have proper lunch or dinner,it may not be the best place.

Travel desk: Use it only if you really need to.They quoted me different rates for the same distance at two different times.And the invoice given to the driver was with out any rate written up! My lower rating for the service was solely due to that.



Gym and Swimming pool: Didn't get time to use them.

Over all it was a very good experience and will definitely return.
