We stayed in this hotel during the Andaman Tsunami. The Corbyn's cove - where the hotel is located - and its encircling hills and lowlands was beautiful beyond words. The hotel is - not really on the beach ( thank god!) ; but just off it. But that was before the Tsunami - we left the hotel 2 days after the Tsunami and at that time the water level had risen submerging the beach.
The room was average - frankly at the price it came it could have been better. The sea-facing rooms have a balcony - you can have a glimpse of the sea thru the trees. The toilet was small and cramped. The food was below average with few choices. There is however a restaurant called the Waves just outside Peerless. Almost on the beach - this offered a great choice of sea-food. If you do stay in this hotel - chose the room+breakfast option only - you would be much better off dining outside. The cottages also did not look very attractive...
The staff were friendly and was very supportive after the Tsunami struck. When staying there, Port Blair was rattled by 10 strong earthquakes in as many hours. The staff woke us up - had a watch near the sea just in case the Tsunami struck again!
