The Hotel Marsol was a treasure we had not expected. My wife and I decided to go to Honduras last June. We booked a flight and emailed the owner, Marcello, and asked about scuba certification. I regret that I didn't take advantage of the certification course but I am not sorry that we stayed at his establishment.

The staff was wondrerful. The town was wonderful. If you visit be sure and go to the village of Miami and experience the Garifuni village and the solitude of their daily life.

Marcello, we are coming back.... and as before we hope you have an opening for us. We hope to have a little more grasp on the language than the last time....:-}

This hotel was a much better experiance than the dirty "La Ensenada."

We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Marsol. Our room was clean and cozy. We had cable TV and hot water. The staff was helpful. I also felt very safe. The beach is 2 blocks away; as well as, many beach front places to eat. Not alot of extras are available, so take your own shampoo, extra towels, soap (tiny ones are provided). They have high speed internet, and drinks available fo purchase in the lobby. Across the street from the Hotel is a small market if you for snacks or other personal items. Our room faced the street and was kind of noisy in the morning, but other than that I was more than pleased with the Hotel Marsol. I would definitely stay again.

This place was recommended to me after I left The Hotel Sinai (where two of my credit cards were stolen). I paid 500 lempiras a night for a clean room/TV/AC and they have free internet access downstairs plus it's a pretty good location. I was on the street side and it is a bit noisy.
