We finished our trip around Guatemala & Honduras by the town of Tela. Some friends told us about the GRAN CENTRAL…that it was very nicely decorated, that the french owners were very friendly and helpfull if we needed any informations on what to do or visit in the area !! No disappointment and more we established friendly links with Luc & Veronique (the owners). They don't know how to please you, always on the run to make things work…The rooms are very spacious, very nicely decorated and very clean whitch is nice to know !! You will enjoy a wonderfull breakfast in the backyard, in the middle of wild orchids and humming birds !! Enchanting…we said 3 days more !! A place to recommand to your friends

The Gran Central is a nice old building that's been tastefully renovated. Rooms are large, with tiled bathrooms. The lobby/lounge area is very atmospheric, breakfast is good, and the French owners are charming. The hotel is a long way from the filthy beach and most of the dining options, and it's subject to street noise. However, it's secure, and for a night, which is about one night more than I'd ever give Tela again, it's adequate if a bit pricey.

Very charming hotel situaded in the heart of Tela. The owners are French and are very hospitable and offer very valuable information about all sites to see, things to do and what to watch out for. The rooms were very nice, newly renovated wit AC, TV and phone. Bathroom were well provided. The beds were firm and big, linnen new. Very safe
with a safe in the room. Our stay was for two days and we were very pleased with our stay there. We highly recommend that you consider to
stay there while you visit Tela.
