“Laid back and Chilled!”

We stay at The Kololi Beach Club every year, it is our "bolt hole" from the treadmill of work and the cold UK weather....we own 4 weeks here and often have family there with us.
Apart from the well kept gardens, the golf course, pools and the beach it's the staff who make our stay so much fun. They always go the extra mile to ensure we can relax and are well looked after.... thier sense of humour and fun is great and we look forward to seeing them every year.
The waves are often terricic for body boarding, and for thoses who like other activity a 5 minute walk down the beach there is access to tennis courts at the Sennigambia for a small fee.
The food in the club house is excellent and the enertainment fun, the Wednesday night quizz is hillarious and water polo during the afternoon a definate "must"!
We only got home on Friday but are already planning our next visit!

Room Tip: The rooms in D block are up by the golf course so further to walk to the beach and pool but all room...

“Another Great Week in the Gambia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Just spent a brilliant chilling out week at Kololi, great food, great cocktails, 33C during the day and a pleasant 18C in the evening. Recommended to anyone who just wants to get away and not worry about anything. Kindle required!

fantastic place to stay. excellent accomodation, kitchen is really well equipped and the apartments are clean and tidy. The beach bar has excellent food, but don't forget to try the restaurants on the strip.

great par 3 golf course, and the beach is to die for.

This is a private member club/timeshare.

We have been a member for 5 years. It's perfect. Lovely well thought apartments. 25 yards from the beach. Beautiful grounds. A golf club. Wifi.

Lovely smiley staff, pretty good food.

Great surf.

Local forest is a great wildlife walk.

“There's a good side and a not so good side”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

We have stayed at this resort a number of times on a timeshare exchange basis in, I think, most of the original types of units. There are now new units called KOLOLI SPRINGS which we have not stayed in. I can recommend the two bedroom and to a limited extent the one bedroom units, but you should avoid the studio villas. They are poorley equiped and badly maintained. Not enough room to swing a cat!
The gardens are very good and the pool area ,while a simple rectanglular shape was kept clean and tidy on each of ouyr visits. They did tend to run out of towels most days though. The practice of reserving sunbeds on the private beach area seems to be widespread, even encouraged by the staff.
The staff are friendly and very helpfull and they always seem to remember your face.
The restaurant has recently changed hands and we found it to be expensive (for Gambia) and the quality and service poor.
There is free wifi available but only in the reception area and it is very, very slow.
We were charged a "Utility Charge" of about $80 per week to cover the cost of electricity and water. This was a first for us. Never been charged for this at any other resort.
This is the only timeshare resort in The Gambia so we don't have a choice, otherwise I don't think we would return to Kololi Beach Club.
