Where do I even begin.
People who upon the arrival to the hotel were surprised to find themselves in the desert, apparently did not pay too much attention in geography classes or did not take an effort to use Google Earth before booking their holidays in Taba. Party animals complaining about the nightlife or lack of thereof must have confused this place with Sharm el Sheikh, “party” clearly being their only association that comes up upon hearing the word Egypt. And lastly, people complaining about the hotel facilities probably (and how sadly) are the kind of people who come to holidays to scrutinise interiors of their rooms instead of going out and enjoying the life that is outside.
Hospitality level is the one that can usually be observed only in guest-houses that sleep 30 people and is generally non-existent in hotels of this size, by which I mean that is was amazing. Here everyone seems to care. Even about the things that are beyond their job description. It looks like the Staff just like working with each other.
Food – of a good quality and surprising variety (don’t tell me that back home you eat a different thing for each meal, 3 times a day for 14 days. If so – kudos!). Beach – it is certainly not 15 mins away but if the distance still seems too big to cover, you can always use the shuttle bus. Sun – ever-present. Water – crystal clear. Additional attractions: astounding moon and divine stars, visible super clearly due to no city lights and the location ‘in the middle of nowhere’, as someone mentioned in earlier reviews. Animation – the dream team making every effort to keep guests entertained (which is not the easiest task of all in the instances when only very few people are willing to cooperate...)
I travelled alone (truth be told - not without hesitation) and ended up making some friends. Inadvertently. And there were also quite some Oh-My-God moments and breathtaking views that have been committed to memory forever (well, at least as long as my memory decides to last). All things considered, my stay was short but sweet, just like life...
