“Good times at the Radisson Blu Resort, Taba”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

The Radisson Blu Resort, Taba is a great place for a relaxing a fun break on the Egyptian Riviera.

The staff at the resort are extremely professional, kind and helpful. Wissam Galal front of house is an asset to the resort, as are the restaurant staff, especially Ramadan who kept our wine glasses topped up and was always happy to look after us, the chefs do a great job with the food, especially the barbecues.

On the beach, Hassan is a true gentleman and genuinely cares that you enjoy your holiday and can relax. The diving and snorkelling is good too, lots to see just off the beach, parrot fish, moray, octopus, puffer fish to name but a few of the beautiful fish.

The La Vacca animation team are are great crew, Turky, Alex and the team were enthusiastic and great fun to chat with. They put on good entertainment in the evenings but the best thing was that they were happy to pass the time chatting with guests and making them feel welcome.

The one thing that lets the team down are the drinks but this is pretty standard for all inclusive deals in Egypt. The local spirits are not very nice, the beer is rather watery, wine is not included (except at dinner and this actually not too bad - I made sure I had a few glasses with dinner) however if you pay extra for wine after dinner time it's pretty bad. The local white wine, Obelisk, is actually brown!

So overall this is great spot, the staff are the real asset so keep up the good work there, the food was really good too, the beach, pool area and grounds are well maintained and clean so really just the drinks that could be improved. I would definitely go back.

Thanks Radisson Blu Resort, Taba. Hope to see you again

Room Tip: The block I stayed in 1300 and up always had plenty of hot water and had good views across the Gulf...

“Thoroughly relaxing break in a beautiful location”

This is a fantastic place to stay for a relaxing break. The location is beautiful and the staff are superb, you could not ask for better service. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who are all are polite, friendly and attentive. We received a very warm welcome and were invited to a cocktail reception by the General Manager.
The rooms are excellent, we were given a lovely, spacious, sea front room with amazing views of Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. An ideal location for snorkelling - you can literally step off the beach and a few metres from the shore is the coral reef and fabulous marine life.
We would definitely return to this hotel.

We (my wife, son and daughter-in-law and two infant children) stayed at this Hotel on October 2011, just as Frederic, the new general manager had been appointed. In only a week that he was there, he instigated vast improvements to the infrastructure and staffing. We experienced a few problems, mainly with respect to the poor standard of maintenance of the children's pool. However, these were resolved promptly by Frederic and his staff. I would agree that the resort is some way from the 'main drag' but this is part of its charm. Anyone who has been to Taba before will enjoy its relaxed atmosphere. This is the most laid back of the hotels. I have stayed in 4 of the others. Well done to Frederic and all of the staff for his positive attitude and his can do commitment to customer satisfaction. I am only sorry that because of the problems I can only give it 3 pips. I am sure that by now it deserves a higher rating

This hotel and its staff are fabulous. I have just returned after athree week break and I can say without doubt it was perfect. The rooms are large and comfortable with a pacious terraces and the most wonderful gardens.
The food was lovely and the staff in the dining room exceptional, Ibrahim and Ramadan really lloked after us as did Walid and manager Bedre. There was no need to rush or indeed wait for your glass to br replenished. It was the most attentive yet non intrusive service I have ever experienced.
The reception staff were always polite and very patient and there wasn't anything they would not help you with. The beach was superb and the beach and pool staff always had our towels ready in the morning with a smile. The Bar staff were both professional and entertaining. all I can say is Thank you Radisson Blue and all the Staff. The GM was very kind he invited new guests to a drinks party where we met department heads. I feel I must thank him and Mohamed Hassan for all their kindness and attention. Will be returnning it was simply the Best time I have had on holiday for a long time. For those who have written poor reviews I simply cannot understand all we experienced was the very best of hospitality for our entire stay. I would reccomend ths Hotel to any one.

“Fantastic break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

What a fabulous break we had for a week. I have read some of the negative comments that have been written and I do not understand why some people leave England for a holiday, if all you want are English speaking waiters and meat and 3 veg for your dinner. We found the staff very polite and accomodating. I know the hotel was not busy but the food on offer was amazing. The head chef was always around if you wanted to speak to him. The restaurant manager was always asking if the food was ok and making sure the staff were on their toes. The room we had was a Marine club room, upgraded free of charge I assume because the hotel was not busy, but that was fine by us. The cleaner left us an array of animals each day on the bed made out of towels which was amazing.
The guys behind the bars were fantastic, they would not allow us to carry any drinks, even 1 glass when I went to the pool bar.( for you cynics out there, that's what you get with a small tip ). Yes the hotel could do with a bit of paint here and there, but believe me I have stayed in some of the top hotels in London at 3 times the price of this one and they could do with a coat of paint too, but they don't get the weather extremes that Egypt does.
I was very impressed that Frederick the general manager invited everyone to have a drink with him and his managers. Every time we saw anyone we were asked if there were any problems.
So just want to express our thanks to Frederick and his staff for a wonderful holiday. We would definitely be back in Januuary but have just found out that first choice are not flying to Taba......
