I go to Egypt half a dozen times per year for the Scuba diving, this hotel has no house reef so is no good for divers or snorkelers, or indeed any watersports as the water is 6" deep (over rock) for 150yds then there is a drop off into the blue with strong currents - It faces Tiran island. There is a stall on the beach selling the services of a dive school based at the Sol Sharm and I found the staff at the dive school excellent but the only trips offered were day boats from Sharks bay or Ras Mohammed which were mainly used by russian snorkelers, if you are a diver you will get what I mean.
The hotel itself was the second worst hotel that I have stayed in around the Sharm area, most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was tasty and there was lots of choice, but it was the same choice every day.
If you like your drink then no all inc hotel in Egypt is any good as all the local drinks taste the same - of petrol.
We went out of the hotel into Soho square or Naama Bay most evenings as the entertainment and general atmosphere is that of a 70s' Butlins camp, the place has no soul.
