Arrived 21st December for 2 weeks. Travelled as a family of 5 ranging in age from 75yr old to 3yr old. Everyone from from the cleaners to Mr Tony Alves (General Manager) greeted you with a smile whenever you saw them and inquired if you were enjoying your stay and if there was anything you needed. Absolutely nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff and they are a credit to the complex.
We had 2 chalets they were spotless and kept that way by the housekeepers who came in daily and cleaned always smiling and even took time to decorate the beds with towels and flowers in the shape of hearts, swans, peacocks and rabbits a lovely touch and appreciated by all of us especially our Grand-Daughter. There was also a Christmas Stocking with chocolates and biscuits on Christmas Eve and a Basket of Fruit on New Years Eve and a surprise 50th Birthday cake on Boxing Day after the housekeeper saw the Birthday cards and told reception. We also had a young gardener who hand picked and presented flowers to both my wife and my mother if he saw them sitting outside on the terrace. (don't know his name but this was a lovely thought and appreciated).
Food in the main restaurant was very good and plenty of choice something for every taste. I find it hard to understand why people find it necessary to complain when every taste is catered for, but some will never be happy unless you give them fish, chips and mushy peas!! Again the staff in the restaurant were brilliant, very friendly, helpful and nothing to much trouble.
We have to give a special mention to the staff in the Bella Vista Restaurant, the Splash Bar, the Brasserie Bar and the Palm Bar (we are not heavy drinkers, but did enjoy their company) also a Big Thank You to Mohammed, Chetos and Marina for everything they did for all of us during our stay.
The Gala dinners on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve were amazing the presentation of the food and the food sculptures had to be seen to be believed. The staff had obviously worked extremely hard on the preparation for the whole evening. The only disappointing feature of the evening ( New Years Eve) was the ill-mannered behaviour of some of the Italian Guests who sprinted, barging people including pensioners and children out of the way, knocking plates out of other guests hands in order to get to the buffet. I even witnessed food being snatched out of other guests hands and off of their plates whilst they were queuing to get their food. They must have realised that there was plenty for everyone. Sadly due to their greed there was a lot wasted food left on their plates.
I will also point out that we met some lovely Italians at the resort and they also commented on the disgusting behaviour of their fellow countrymen..
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone within the resort who made our holiday so enjoyable the shopkeepers, cleaners, gardeners, waiters, bar staff, pool attendants and anyone who we met but have not mentioned.
Tony your staff and the resort are a credit to you and it is clear to see why they hold you in such high regard. It was a pleasure to meet you and your family and an even bigger pleasure that you know where JERSEY is!!!
This was not our first visit to Egypt and we will certainly be back and staying at the Shores Amphoras.

Good morning and thank you for your review, we are very happy that you had a good time and enjoy our services,facilities, food and beverage, hotel ambiance, our buffet, our beach, our pool, our staff,our Christmas and New Year Programme,our music and enterteinement, the weather etc..etc..etc...
We do train all our staff in their position, also we do encourage all of them and is mandatory in the Hotel that they all attend english classes which is important for our guest services, of course is not Oxford or Cambridge level but I am sure you dident have any problems:)
Also we are happy that you mention you will comeback this make us very happy..... sometimes is very difficult for us to cater for so many nationalities and some times guest does behave in not a good correct manners and we do apolagize for this.
Is funny you did enjoy very much your holidays, and guest staying on the same period thinks completely different is part of the human factor and personnality of each individual , but let me tell you that we do take very serious all reviews and more the negative ones, as it teach us so much and we become better to understand all our guest...!!
We are glad that you enjoy the chocolat socks!!!! and the Birthday party, this is good and I am Happy because was organized by the staff.
The Animation staff will be very happy to read your kind comments so all the staff you are mentioning in the review.
I will translate the review into Arabic and I will posted in all Staff area... they will be very proud and well motivated when they read it !!
