The second time we have been there ~ liked it so much the first time we went back. Only done that once before in Turkey ~ going back again in September and planning to go again next year. Lovely, lovely people friendly helpful make your holiday special. Great swimming pools very peaceful good breakfasts, air conditioning, decent shower, and a fridge to keep the vodka cool ~ what more do you need? Basic rooms comfortable beds great towel designs ~ lovely cushioned seats outside the rooms to sit and have a sundowner ~ and the most amazing gardens ~ I'm a fan love the place
Excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly, happy and helpful. My room was cleaned everyday and I also had a fancy decoration, made out of towels on my bed everyday. Crocodile, flower, swans and love hearts. I would say this is the one of the best hotels that I have stayed at in Sharm El Sheikh. The food is of great quality and the restaurant staff are very obliging. There are restaurants, shops and supermarkets close by and you can even walk to Old market within 15 minutes. The hotel has its own shutle bus to take you to certain destinations for free. Overal a brilliant hotel. Asilia xxxx
Booked this 2 days before travelling, never been to Egypt before & heard it was cheap enough to eat out so booked this for £100 each so like i said "i got what i paid for" Upon Arrival the Hotel is in a good location not in the middle of the desert like most Hotels.
Good Points
* Good Location
* Very Friendly Staff
* Clean Pool & Surounding Areas
Bad Points
* Rooms Standard
* Mosquito City woke up with about 50 million bites every morning always on my legs was adamamnt it was to do with Bed Bugs
* Food was awfull ended up in Naama Bay everynight
Wouldnt really recomened this to Familys as not alot for children.
Wouldnt go back - my fault for booking a 2*
This hotel was chosen with a fairly simple criterion; a quick & cheap easy week away.
It’s a small & simple establishment when compared with other resorts in the area, with just 40 or so rooms, all the surrounding the 2 pools; one in the main courtyard & the other to the rear of the hotel, also used by the diving school.
With most guests being divers, the hotel is actually pretty quiet during the day (apart from the odd class in the pool)!
The rooms are rather basic; however, they’re kept clean & tidy and all have en-suite (showers), TV & a fridge.
There are plenty of local cafe's & bars near by which offer cheap food & drinks, most of which provide free wireless internet. Take your PC, tablet, phone, etc, but DON’T pay for hotel access, it's seriously over priced!
There's also a free shuttle running between the hotel and two local beaches, one near the Old Sharm market and the other 'Reef Beach' on a terraced cliff area with steps down to the water for snorkelling. The ‘Reef Beach’ costs 15LE/person from the hotel reception, but is well worth it. Both places have good quality, cheap food & drink (pizza, sandwiches, etc. don’t expect fine dining, but hey, it’s a beach)! Just a place to chill!
BAD POINTS about the hotel.
When booking, we opted for the additional Half Board option at an extra £80/person. In all honesty, I wouldn’t recommend this! If you choose to stay here, just save your cash & go for basic B&B!
Food prepared by the hotel is really VERY poor! When we arrived (9’ish), we were told there was NO evening food available; however, if we wanted something, we’d have to purchase a meal at the bar! Likewise on departure day & despite the flight being delayed, we were not allowed in the restaurant!
So in conclusion, I paid for 7 nights dinner, only received 5!....
One evening, we were actually encouraged to pay extra money just to eat the same food outside as a part of their folk evening???
We asked about swapping dinner credits for a simple bar lunch each day, but the very rude chap on reception dismissed the question without even asking the hotel management!
The breakfast buffet offers an equally poor range! Limp re-used salad & cheese! Omelettes cooked 2 order were OK & a variety of pastries, but get in early as it soon goes & isn't replaced!
DON'T be put off by signs in the hotel or staff telling you that food or drinks purchased from outside CANNOT be brought into the hotel! Although the hotel bar isn't too expensive, the supermarkets are significantly cheaper!
Walls between rooms are exceptionally thin, which is obviously a problem when you’ve got inconsiderate noisy neighbours! Nobody needs 2 hear overly loud monotonal Cockney OAP’s at 6 o’clock every morning!
On day of departure, despite paying extra to keep the room due to a late flight, house keeping continually insisted we vacate allowing him to prep the room for the next guest.
Also, watch out when paying for extras at the hotel reception! The rude guy often kept tried to keep change, stating he didn’t have any! I’m all for baksheesh/tipping, but I get annoyed when people assume they can just keep it!
The hotel reports to have an onsite Spa. In reality, this amounts to a rather run-down room by the main pool containing a dirty looking hydro-pool (God only knows what’s gone on in it!) & a couple of shabby massage rooms! The so called Spa manager (love that cowboy hat!) just doesn’t take no for an answer, harassing guests all day, everyday offering over-priced treatments. Tip: negotiate the same treatment at one of the beaches for a quarter of the price!
The area around the hotel is pretty sparse and mainly consists of other small hotels. Across the road, there’s a selection of cafés, with OK food. However, a short 10/15 minute walk takes you to the Old Sharm market or Il Mercato, a long commercial street with lots of decent restaurants & shops. We had an amazing 3 course fish dinner with drinks for about £10. Great value!
Alternatively, catch the shuttle bus or a taxi into Naama Bay. Again a very commercial & cosmopolitan area with all types of bars, cafés, restaurants, and clubs. Essentially everything you’d need for an evening out. Just go wander around & enjoy! But don’t let the taxi drivers rip you off! Max 20/30LE each way!
I dived with the Ocean College, who are based at the hotel. Certainly ‘not the most professional or courteous service’; however, performance is appraised under a separate review. Pretty unimpressed with the organisation as dive kit was broken during transfer to the boats, guides just disappeared during the dive & again back on shore leaving guests rather bewildered! They seemed more concerned about additional donations rather than asking why I was finishing my diving schedule early!
Overall impression: Accommodation, basic but not too bad; cheap & cheerful, without breaking the bank! However, food & service very poor, so better to spend your many elsewhere!
