We arrived at night in December but in time for evening meal. The staff were all very helpfull and efficient. The straw roofed huts are very large and comfortable with individual air-con and plenty of storage for your clothes and bits and pieces.The restaurant is clean and waiters keen,
but beware don't start tipping until the end of your stay as the staff may not be with you for the whole of your stay.Remember wages are very low as little as £15 per week so even a couple of quid can be enough for good service. The food on the whole is excellant, salads always fresh and probably half a dozen hot dishes per meal. As has been said by others can seem a bit monotonous after first week, but you do have the option to use Vista Beach restaurant as often as you like. Don't rcommend the Italian at the Beach. Sunbathing around the pools is great you just give your towel cards to Alsayeed (pool guy) and he will put your towels on your chosen sunbeds each day then make sure you are comfortable. Also as many have mentioned
Kiko the daytime pool bar guy is great and has very good English. Evening entertainment you have to make or find yourself.

Just returned from one week in this great hotel. Wont repeat all the great things said by others about the service, staff, rooms and look of both this and the beach hotel opposite. However, if you are going to enjoy the food, forget it. The staff try, but they just hav`nt got it. Pizzas in the Italian, raw, even after sending the first one back. Beef in the Italian, like boot leather. Quiche in the Italian, don`t know, could`nt get it out of the serving dish it was that hard baked. Al a cart menu in Which way was not bad, but we had to fight for wine despite the All Inclusive details said that we could have wine.The restaurant in the Garden side is much quieter but does not carry tha range of the main restaurant. Its a trade off between a Russian cattle market and a limited choice. Bread was stale, but after complaining they improved things. Toaster did not work very well. Omlettes the best option for breakfast. We like this hotel, and the setting and architecture are really good, unfortunately we do like our food and because of the poor quality, we will not be making a third visit. Thanks to Rochelle and a few others they did what they could to make our stay more pleasant, but there is only so much one person can do.If you go, give our regards to all the staff, they are truely wonderful.

Just returned after two wonderful weeks at Laguna Vista, could not have asked for more. Me and my partner have visited Egypt a number of times and can honestly say that this was the best holiday we have had.

The rooms in the Garden hotel are little bungalow type huts which we found great, high standard of decor and spotlessly clean with large wet room shower (always unlimited hot water) and large comfortable twin beds - The housekeeping staff will make this a double on request.

The standard of food was very good during my stay, however the variety in the Gardens restaurant was a little limited. We ate at the restaurant in the 'Beach' hotel most nights as this was also a high standard but there was more variety and the facilities in the Beach hotel are included in the AI package, the pasta station was especially good thank you Mahmoud! The lobby piano bar in the beach side is also a fantastic place for a relaxed drink.

The staff were amazing, I have always found Egyptian people to be very friendly and the staff here were no exception. The bar staff were friendly and cheerful and the restaurant staff could not do enough for you, table and drinks prepared for your arrival everyday once they had memorised what you liked to drink! Special thanks to Ahmed and Kiko on the two pool bars and Ahmed in the Gardens Restaurant who made our stay even more memorable.

As we visited over Christmas, we had special meals for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve (with a party in a purpose built marquee). The food for Christmas was outstanding, loads of choice and most of it cooked in front of you - The best meal I have ever had in Egypt. The New Year’s party was amazing; the marquee was out of this world with tonnes of food and good entertainment - Just fabulous.

Finally I would just like to mention the English guest relations staff, a lovely girl called Rochelle who regularly came and talked to us to make sure we were happy and more than made up for the absentee Thomas Cook Rep 'Anonymous' who lived up to his name.

Forget about media coverage of Cairo , Sharm El Sheikh could be a million miles away. We have just spent 4 fabulous weeks at Laguna Vista Garden and the friendly, family atmosphere was an enjoyable experience. Talking to many of the guests, of all nationalities,the common factor was that they all said how friendly and happy the staff were.To be fair, you do need to interact with the staff and other guests to get the best out of any holiday. The accommodation and setting is superb, The food was excellent and if you have a special occasion, you only have to ask the chefs and they would accommodate.Whilst we are retired, many of the guests said how nice it was to `chill out ' from their busy work lives. We were fortunate to meet not only Egyptians but also Italians, Scottish, Armenian and Russian ( Yes, even Russian ) guests and look forward to meeting them again. The theme of the General Manager and his staff, is that you are ` family '.
WELL WORTH A VISIT.
