Positives-Beautiful resort, very clean and lovely pool area. Nice staff and friendly guests also.
Negaives-the beach bar at the Baron resort is nicer and the food was incredibly bland.

We have just arrived home from the most wonderful holidayl. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The entertainments team were fantastic both with the day/evening events and also kids club. Everything was spotless - the grounds, bars, restaurants and hotel rooms. The food was also delicious with a different cuisine theme every evening. The beach was a stones throw away through a boullivard - shop vendors would call out a 'hello' but never made you feel uncomfortable. I am also clueless to think that anyone cannot rate this hotel 5 stars unless they are undercover staff representing another local hotel! Walking up and down the beach front, a number of us commented that we had by far the best beach - other hotels had either a rocky front or the beach was very narrow. There were also pontoons with a life guard at the end from which you could snorkel the reef safely. Would not hesitate to go back and we would like to be there now still........

We ended our holiday in Egypt with a 5 night stay at the Baron Palms; What a wonderful hotel... I could not fault anything.
The rooms (we had a garden room) were spotlessly clean with fresh sheets on the bed every night, plenty of wardrobe hanging, shelves and drawer space.
The staff were all very helpful and cheery.
The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and huge amount of choice.
Our family enjoyed the entertainment and the 'animation' team were full of life and buzz and thouroughly enjoyed interacting with all that were willing to join in.
I am agog that anyone could fault the place - I would definately LOVE to return to this hotel.

Returned 10 days ago from our 4th visit to this hotel and were delighted to see that it was still delivering a quality product.

Presumably owing to the economy and recent political difficulties, it would seem that Egypt's tourism has suffered since everywhere seemed a lot quieter than usual. This has obviously reflected on the number of staff at the hotel, so that on a couple of occasions the staffing in the restaurant was not as efficient as we have known in the past. That aside, the staff were working very hard to make everthing a good experience for us.

The food was excellent and if you don't find something which you like, I think you must be very difficult to please since the range of foods is amazing, well cooked and imaginative. (I was very surprised to read mandyegg2k's review since it was totally opposite to our own experience - were they at the same hotel?)

The local drinks are perfectly acceptable and we noticed that the red wine has improved immensely from previous years.

The rooms are spacious and clean with top quality Egyptian bed linen and towels. We had a room overlooking the road and beyond, which, whilst not being as interesting as the pool, was very peaceful and enabled us to get the last of the afternoon's sun.

We booked a trip on the glass-bottom boat through Bobo's Watersports (who can be found on the beach). They were courteous, professional and a lot cheaper than going via Thomas Cook. Would definitely recommend this if you don't fancy snorkelling or diving.

All in all a fantastic break from the British winter. Will definitely be booking for next January.
