“this place is awful!!!!!!!!”

hi! we have been 2 sharm el sheikh 4 a week in dec 4-11.we went 2 ''dive inn'' 4 the good price&very good reviews 82%!!!! i am not very picky, but i really want you 2 know how that place is really like. first of all there is no reort, no hotel, is a horible motel.the beach is a piece of beach with of lot of rocks and has about 10 lounge chairs, wich are awful 2! the stuff from the hotel is not very nice, but they will if you tip them! there is no double room, only 2 beds room!!!!!!they don't clean your room while you stay there and is gonna get full of dust!they will change the towells 2/week and the bed 1/week.for the all inclusive you have no snaks, no ice-cream.the restaurant looks pretty nice but you won't have a lot 2 choose from.not 2 many fruits, desert or meat.we eat pretty often out.the beach is pretty close, but with the bus,the distance is 1,5 km.dive inn resort is a very small place, with 1 cold pool, 1 pool bar, 1 restaurant and the one from the beach i can't call it a bar. the only good thing around there is EL MERCATO, a very clean and beatiful.is a mixt between italy and usa
so my advice is that if u want a good holiday, pay a little extra many, and get another hotel, and do not go 2 dive inn.

“Great snorkelling, not very helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2010

Hotel was pretty good for Egypt and not too far from the beach. Beach snorkelling was amazing, definitely take your gear. Breakfast was a pretty good range of food. But the staff were not very helpful in organising stuff for Sharm, we felt very lost in where to go. The hotel beach was crowded and need to get towels from Hotel before you head down there. Its a hotel that most stay in as a package deal, and you cant even extend your stay at the hotel, have to book online. Plus you had to pay for internet access - better to head to Naama bay and buy a meal or drink for free wi-fi. Price ~$50 was pretty good for the quality of accom.

“Nice place, nice stay”

Very friendly stuff and a nice little hotel. When i was there in february i didn't see any russians! It was quiet and very clean. The food was good and the place is really nice. It offers an access to the internet by USB-Stick, but this service is very expensive (60 EGP per day). It's much cheaper to go to vodafone or etisalat and buy your own USB-Stick (99 EGP) with a flatrate for one month (149 EGP).
Just around the corner (10 Minutes walking distance) you can find the shpping mile "Il mercato", that offers everything you can imagine to buy. To go to the City Center or to Old Market you should take a taxi (25 EGP).
If i need a hotel in Sharm again i would probably come back to the Dive Inn resort.

“Great hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 April 2010

We were three families staying here and we loved it. We had apartments and they where okay. The beds were a bit hard, but it seems this is normal for hotels i Egypt(?) Very small TV with few canals, but who is planning to stay inside when the sun is shining? All and all I thought the rooms where great for the price we payd.

Loooooved the animation team. He did a great job arranging polo matches in the pool and they had arrow competitions every day at 17.00. My family and friends loved this. Water gymnastic in the pool. He was a funny man and always had a smile for everybody!
We only had breakfast and I thought it was delish! A man is making omelets at your order and you can choose what you want in them. It was a great variety and different things every day.

The hotels location is a bit outside Naama bay. We didn’t have any problem with this since it’s only a short taxi ride away.(We always payed LE 20) It’s not far from the Old Market either. Right behind the hotel is the big shopping mall Il Mercato witch seems to only get bigger and bigger. There are some restaurants here. But if you want something new each day you have to go to Naama bay. There is free hotel transfer to Naama bay every night at 21.00 and back 23.30 and 00.30.

There’s no hotel beaches right with the hotel. But they had free transfer to a beach out at Ras Oum El Seed. Great snorkeling, beautiful water, but small and crowded. They had another beach to, can’t remember the name or if we payd anything, but don’t bother going here. Awful loud music and the water was terrible! The hotel beach in Naama bay was great. A little coral reef on the beach and ok space.

Very happy with the service at the hotel, nice and friendly staff!

We tried out the massage also. We had a double massage and stayed in the same room. Wouldn’t recommend letting your husband or boyfriend getting a massage from the women, she kissed my boyfriend on the lips, while I was in the same room. GROCE! And very unprofessional, wanted tip I guess?

This is not the hotels fault but just a tip:
Last, we booked a trip through some people at the hotel. A boat ride with Orbit Divers. Would not recommend using them. We booked a trip to Tiran Island, but didn’t even go there, because of the wind? In stead we went to some boring snorkeling places. It took 1 and half hour before we finally were on the boat and we waited in the sun for an hour before they got us a bus back to the hotel! Very disappointed. Would rather have the money back!
